My client wanted a light dainty shade for her granddaughter's nursery. we fpound a lovely white striped sheer fabric and lined it with a white voile sheer. Lots of fabric. The valance has three times fullness and has a ruffle on the bottom hem.

SynonymousPaola took astronomy in college and enjoyed that course a lot. For a long while now, she's been wanting to create a scheme centered around astronomy, knowing a nursery or child’s bedroom would be the ideal spaces for this. Our approach for themed spaces is to introduce the “elements” in a subtle way as to give the hint that indeed this room is “celestial themed” but it‘s not obvious. First we chose the awesome shagreen wallpaper, not a conventional choice, but works so well in imitating that “rocky” feel of the moon. From there, we added the geometric prints, which reference science, math, planets? We just didn’t want to add actual planet prints because we still wanted the room to feel sophisticated. All the little details like the moon throw pillow and stary velvet fabric on the ottoman are genius.
Collaborated WorksThis custom residence was designed and built by Collaborated works in 2012. Inspired by Maison de Verre by Pierre Chareau. This modernist glass box is full steel construction. The exterior is brought inside so that the frame of the house is exposed. Large frosted glass garage doors create a beautiful light box. This townhouse has an open floating stair that is the centerpiece of the home. A fireplace in the living room is surrounded by windows. The industrial kitchen incorporates vintage fixtures and appliances that make it truly unique.
CHERYL BARKER InteriorsBeautiful baby girl nursery that has a bit of being glam, shabby chic rustic with just a touch of bling. Walls are gray with white trim. Lighting includes a chandelier with sparkle. Furniture includes a changing table, crib, rocking chair and pillow. Walls are decorated with a large abstract painting, shelves and other decorative accessories. Gray hardwood flooring is accented by an area rug. Colors throughout are gray, pink, white, cream, gold.

Little Crown InteriorsThis nursery was designed for my client in Santa Monica who wanted something expressly modern and unique. She fell in love with a gorgeous acrylic crib, and we pulled the rest of the design from that. All of the furniture is sleek and modern, and the room is light and bright.
