This very-small NYC bathroom was made to feel larger and lighter by the elimination of the interior wall that divided the sink from the bath. We recreated the wall but only beside the vanity and above head height, where the shower head resides. From the counter to the shower head we installed a fixed glass panel. This allows natural light to travel completely throughout the bathroom, and the space is not chopped up.
Note the glass tile on the walls. Because glass tile does not have a bullnose option, and because we didn't want the glass tile to go all the way to the high ceiling, we doubled up the sheet rock above the tile line so that the glass tile butts into the bottom edge of the sheet rock.
