Mountainwood ConstructionThe phrase "luxury master suite" brings this room to mind. With a double shower, double hinged glass door and free standing tub, this water room is the hallmark of simple luxury. It also features a hidden niche, a hemlock ceiling and brushed nickel fixtures paired with a majestic view.

Danielle Rose Design Co.This project was a primary suite remodel that we began pre-pandemic. The primary bedroom was an addition to this waterfront home and we added character with bold board-and-batten statement wall, rich natural textures, and brushed metals. The primary bathroom received a custom white oak vanity that spanned over nine feet long, brass and matte black finishes, and an oversized steam shower in Zellige-inspired tile.
Kimberlee Marie InteriorsIt’s always a blessing when your clients become friends - and that’s exactly what blossomed out of this two-phase remodel (along with three transformed spaces!). These clients were such a joy to work with and made what, at times, was a challenging job feel seamless. This project consisted of two phases, the first being a reconfiguration and update of their master bathroom, guest bathroom, and hallway closets, and the second a kitchen remodel.
In keeping with the style of the home, we decided to run with what we called “traditional with farmhouse charm” – warm wood tones, cement tile, traditional patterns, and you can’t forget the pops of color! The master bathroom airs on the masculine side with a mostly black, white, and wood color palette, while the powder room is very feminine with pastel colors.
When the bathroom projects were wrapped, it didn’t take long before we moved on to the kitchen. The kitchen already had a nice flow, so we didn’t need to move any plumbing or appliances. Instead, we just gave it the facelift it deserved! We wanted to continue the farmhouse charm and landed on a gorgeous terracotta and ceramic hand-painted tile for the backsplash, concrete look-alike quartz countertops, and two-toned cabinets while keeping the existing hardwood floors. We also removed some upper cabinets that blocked the view from the kitchen into the dining and living room area, resulting in a coveted open concept floor plan.
Our clients have always loved to entertain, but now with the remodel complete, they are hosting more than ever, enjoying every second they have in their home.

123 Remodeling Inc.123 Remodeling’s design-build team gave this bathroom in Bucktown (Chicago, IL) a facelift by installing new tile, mirrors, light fixtures, and a new countertop. We reused the existing vanity, shower fixtures, faucets, and toilet that were all in good condition. We incorporated a beautiful blue blended tile as an accent wall to pop against the rest of the neutral tiles. Lastly, we added a shower bench and a sliding glass shower door giving this client the coastal bathroom of their dreams.
Cathie Hong InteriorsOur clients decided to take their childhood home down to the studs and rebuild into a contemporary three-story home filled with natural light. We were struck by the architecture of the home and eagerly agreed to provide interior design services for their kitchen, three bathrooms, and general finishes throughout. The home is bright and modern with a very controlled color palette, clean lines, warm wood tones, and variegated tiles.
Materials + Methods DesignThis bathroom was stripped to the studs; removing floor to ceiling tile, a built-in jet bathtub, and closed off water closet and walk-in closet. All plumbing locations stayed as-is to reduce timeline and save on costs which could be allocated towards the custom vanity and closing off 1 window. The goal was an open concept, spa-inspired space.
Story LLCOur clients wanted to add on to their 1950's ranch house, but weren't sure whether to go up or out. We convinced them to go out, adding a Primary Suite addition with bathroom, walk-in closet, and spacious Bedroom with vaulted ceiling. To connect the addition with the main house, we provided plenty of light and a built-in bookshelf with detailed pendant at the end of the hall. The clients' style was decidedly peaceful, so we created a wet-room with green glass tile, a door to a small private garden, and a large fir slider door from the bedroom to a spacious deck. We also used Yakisugi siding on the exterior, adding depth and warmth to the addition. Our clients love using the tub while looking out on their private paradise!
Courtney Thomas DesignWe planned a thoughtful redesign of this beautiful home while retaining many of the existing features. We wanted this house to feel the immediacy of its environment. So we carried the exterior front entry style into the interiors, too, as a way to bring the beautiful outdoors in. In addition, we added patios to all the bedrooms to make them feel much bigger. Luckily for us, our temperate California climate makes it possible for the patios to be used consistently throughout the year.
The original kitchen design did not have exposed beams, but we decided to replicate the motif of the 30" living room beams in the kitchen as well, making it one of our favorite details of the house. To make the kitchen more functional, we added a second island allowing us to separate kitchen tasks. The sink island works as a food prep area, and the bar island is for mail, crafts, and quick snacks.
We designed the primary bedroom as a relaxation sanctuary – something we highly recommend to all parents. It features some of our favorite things: a cognac leather reading chair next to a fireplace, Scottish plaid fabrics, a vegetable dye rug, art from our favorite cities, and goofy portraits of the kids.

Model RemodelThe homeowners wanted a large bathroom that would transport them a world away and give them a spa experience at home. Two vanities, a water closet and a wet room steam shower are tailored to the cosmopolitan couple who lives there.
Devon Grace InteriorsThe primary bathroom is the definition of “spa-like”. Our client really wanted the space to feel light, airy, and minimal, and we achieved the look through natural textures and clean, continuous lines throughout the entire bathroom. We opted to add a window along the top of the left wall that allows natural light to flow into the space for an airy feel. The fluted, wood-look tile introduces a natural warmth to the bathroom. There’s nothing more classic and elegant than marble veining, so we decided to wrap the rest of the space in a Statuario-look tile in a large format to give it a more modern feel.
Design REMODEL ProsLeave the concrete jungle behind as you step into the serene colors of nature brought together in this couples shower spa. Luxurious Gold fixtures play against deep green picket fence tile and cool marble veining to calm, inspire and refresh your senses at the end of the day.
KT Interior DesignA full renovation of a Primary Bath Suite. Taking the bathroom down to the studs, we utilized an outdoor closet to expand the space and create a large walk-in wet room housing a shower and soaking tub. All new tile, paint, custom vanity, and finishes created a spa bathroom retreat for our wonderful clients.
