Courtney Thomas DesignWe planned a thoughtful redesign of this beautiful home while retaining many of the existing features. We wanted this house to feel the immediacy of its environment. So we carried the exterior front entry style into the interiors, too, as a way to bring the beautiful outdoors in. In addition, we added patios to all the bedrooms to make them feel much bigger. Luckily for us, our temperate California climate makes it possible for the patios to be used consistently throughout the year.
The original kitchen design did not have exposed beams, but we decided to replicate the motif of the 30" living room beams in the kitchen as well, making it one of our favorite details of the house. To make the kitchen more functional, we added a second island allowing us to separate kitchen tasks. The sink island works as a food prep area, and the bar island is for mail, crafts, and quick snacks.
We designed the primary bedroom as a relaxation sanctuary – something we highly recommend to all parents. It features some of our favorite things: a cognac leather reading chair next to a fireplace, Scottish plaid fabrics, a vegetable dye rug, art from our favorite cities, and goofy portraits of the kids.

Betty Wasserman Art & InteriorsThis Chelsea loft is an example of making a smaller space go a long way. We needed to fit two offices, two bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and a den for TV watching, as well as two baths and a laundry room in only 1,350 square feet!
Project completed by New York interior design firm Betty Wasserman Art & Interiors, which serves New York City, as well as across the tri-state area and in The Hamptons.

Pasquale Design Associates, Inc.This master spa bath has a soaking tub, steam shower, and custom cabinetry. The cement tiles add pattern to the shower walls. The porcelain wood look plank flooring is laid in a herringbone pattern.
Jessica Dauray Interiors/Elements Of StyleThe existing french doors were repurposed into these beautiful sliding barn doors, which create a light filled, dramatic separation between the master bedroom and bathroom.

House of MerakiThis bathroom is harmonious blend of classic and contemporary design elements. The perfect combination of white and neutrals, marble, and organic textures creating a spa-like oasis that exudes timeless sophistication. The misty neutral wallpaper surrounds you to create the serene feeling our client was looking for. The focal point of the bathroom is a luxurious freestanding bathtub, under a statement multi-pendant chandelier draped to enhance the feeling of relaxation and luxury. The white and gray checkered marble floor stays traditional while the organic forms of the lighting and accents play up the organic look. A few carefully chosen decor pieces, such as potted plants or decorative trays, add a touch of greenery and elegance to the space.
