Devon Grace InteriorsDGI designed a large home office complete with two desks. The vaulted ceilings and wood beam details draw your eyes up, and we selected an aged iron chandelier to complement them. We kept the existing fireplace mantle, but we opted to paint the wooden surround in the same charcoal grey seen throughout the rest of the home. It creates a cohesive feel while elevating the fireplace with a more modern feel.

Integrated, dimmable LED lighting transforms the bookshelves into a sculptural, ambient light source at night, and highlights the eclectic displays of treasured objects.
HR DESIGN DEPTThe project began with this request to have a home that was understated but uniquely unfolded after entering. Each living space redirects orientation; expansive courtyard views shift to private gardens, and neighborhood foliage is displayed in vaulted clerestory windows, also giving unexpected volume to the low-slung house. The house is organized around an existing pecan tree and proposed pool with bedrooms off the courtyard. The living room and master bedroom bookend this oasis with covered patios under the canopy overlooking the pool.

The main living area walls were painted with a pale yellow that accented fresh colors in upholstery and furnishings. The guest suite went from a painting studio to a luxe oasis with deep navy charcoal paint and prints to tie in our client’s furnishings. Finally, one of our favorite transformations in this space, we took the old guest room and turned it into a craft room, artist library, and office space.
