York House DesignsBefore we started this dream laundry room was a draughty lean-to with all sorts of heating and plumbing on show. Now all of that is stylishly housed but still easily accessible and surrounded by storage.
Contemporary, charcoal wood grain and knurled brass handles give these shaker doors a cool, modern edge.
Du Bois Design LtdLaundry with concealed washer and dryer behind doors one could think this was a butlers pantry instead. Open shelving to give a lived in personal look.
Progressive Design BuildThe laundry room was kept in the same space, adjacent to the mudroom and walk-in pantry. It features the same cherry wood cabinetry with plenty of countertop surface area for folding laundry. The laundry room is also designed with under-counter space for storing clothes hampers, tall storage for an ironing board, and storage for cleaning supplies. Unique to the space were custom built-in dog crates for our client’s canine companions, as well as special storage space for their dogs’ food.
Bathroom + Kitchen ElevenWe also created push to open built in units around white goods, for our clients utility room with WC and basin. Bringing the blue hue across to a practical room.

Sheree Bounassif, kitchens by Emanuel
WoodwaysA soft seafoam green is used in this Woodways laundry room. This helps to connect the cabinetry to the flooring as well as add a simple element of color into the more neutral space. A built in unit for the washer and dryer allows for basket storage below for easy transfer of laundry. A small counter at the end of the wall serves as an area for folding and hanging clothes when needed.
Blue Tea Kitchens and BathroomsBoth eclectic and refined, the bathrooms at our Summer Hill project are unique and reflects the owners lifestyle. Beach style, yet unequivocally elegant the floors feature encaustic concrete tiles paired with elongated white subway tiles. Aged brass taper by Brodware is featured as is a freestanding black bath and fittings and a custom made timber vanity.
Alex Fulton DesignMurphys Road is a renovation in a 1906 Villa designed to compliment the old features with new and modern twist. Innovative colours and design concepts are used to enhance spaces and compliant family living. This award winning space has been featured in magazines and websites all around the world. It has been heralded for it's use of colour and design in inventive and inspiring ways.

Blackline RenovationsWith the original, unfinished laundry room located in the enclosed porch with plywood subflooring and bare shiplap on the walls, our client was ready for a change.
To create a functional size laundry/utility room, Blackline Renovations repurposed part of the enclosed porch and slightly expanded into the original kitchen footprint. With a small space to work with, form and function was paramount. Blackline Renovations’ creative solution involved carefully designing an efficient layout with accessible storage. The laundry room was thus designed with floor-to-ceiling cabinetry and a stacked washer/dryer to provide enough space for a folding station and drying area. The lower cabinet beneath the drying area was even customized to conceal and store a cat litter box. Every square inch was wisely utilized to maximize this small space.
12/12 Architects & PlannersThis 6,000sf luxurious custom new construction 5-bedroom, 4-bath home combines elements of open-concept design with traditional, formal spaces, as well. Tall windows, large openings to the back yard, and clear views from room to room are abundant throughout. The 2-story entry boasts a gently curving stair, and a full view through openings to the glass-clad family room. The back stair is continuous from the basement to the finished 3rd floor / attic recreation room.
The interior is finished with the finest materials and detailing, with crown molding, coffered, tray and barrel vault ceilings, chair rail, arched openings, rounded corners, built-in niches and coves, wide halls, and 12' first floor ceilings with 10' second floor ceilings.
It sits at the end of a cul-de-sac in a wooded neighborhood, surrounded by old growth trees. The homeowners, who hail from Texas, believe that bigger is better, and this house was built to match their dreams. The brick - with stone and cast concrete accent elements - runs the full 3-stories of the home, on all sides. A paver driveway and covered patio are included, along with paver retaining wall carved into the hill, creating a secluded back yard play space for their young children.
