Handmade Kitchen CoSophisticated and elegant, this bootility is designed to keep the space organised and stylish to match the rest of the home. Keeping the laundry chores out of view, this space has been delicately hand-painted in School House White by F&B just like the kitchen and built in our classic in-frame shaker style. There’s an abundance of space to store every cleaning product you can think of!
Further functions of the room include Bosch appliances at eye level, pull-out laundry basket drawers below, Misterio quartz worktops, a Shaws of Darwen sink and a Perrin & Rowe Ionian Tap with rinse and white porcelain levers.
Something we particularly love about this design is the handcrafted bench storage. The closed cabinets keep items neatly out of sight behind our beautifully crafted doors, while the open shelves display the items you want close to hand. Our client has chosen to display their fresh linens here.
Keeping the same elegance throughout the three rooms, Armac Martin Merrick and Cotswold handles are seen in this most luxurious bootility room.
Distinct Innovations Pty LtdBuilt on the beautiful Nepean River in Penrith overlooking the Blue Mountains. Capturing the water and mountain views were imperative as well as achieving a design that catered for the hot summers and cold winters in Western Sydney. Before we could embark on design, pre-lodgement meetings were held with the head of planning to discuss all the environmental constraints surrounding the property. The biggest issue was potential flooding. Engineering flood reports were prepared prior to designing so we could design the correct floor levels to avoid the property from future flood waters.
The design was created to capture as much of the winter sun as possible and blocking majority of the summer sun. This is an entertainer's home, with large easy flowing living spaces to provide the occupants with a certain casualness about the space but when you look in detail you will see the sophistication and quality finishes the owner was wanting to achieve.
Smartstone | Quartz Benchtops, Engineered StoneLoni Parker, editor and founder of Adore Home Magazine, has done just that with the extensive laundry renovation in her newly purchased home. Loni transformed a laundry she describes as “unusable” into a fabulous and functional room that makes the everyday sorting-washing-folding chore enjoyable – yes, really!
The ‘before’ part of the makeover wasn’t pretty, a dank and mouldy laundry with leaking taps, exposed pipes and a broken hot water system. Design-wise, Loni wanted to create a fresh space with a predominant use of white. She chose Smartstone Arcadia for the benchtop, one of Smartstone’s superb range of white quartz surfaces and also one of the most popular whites for benchtops, a versatile cool white with a fine to medium grain.

A fold‑away drying rack, towel storage, and a striped laundry basket keep everything organised and out of sight — a simple, ultra‑compact solution for a small Dublin apartment.
LNDesignsUKThis reconfiguration project was a classic case of rooms not fit for purpose, with the back door leading directly into a home-office (not very productive when the family are in and out), so we reconfigured the spaces and the office became a utility room.
The area was kept tidy and clean with inbuilt cupboards, stacking the washer and tumble drier to save space. The Belfast sink was saved from the old utility room and complemented with beautiful Victorian-style mosaic flooring.
Now the family can kick off their boots and hang up their coats at the back door without muddying the house up!
UserHome to a large family, the brief for this laundry in Brighton was to incorporate as much storage space as possible. Our in-house Interior Designer, Jeyda has created a galley style laundry with ample storage without having to compromise on style.
We also designed and renovated the powder room. The floor plan of the powder room was left unchanged and the focus was directed at refreshing the space. The green slate vanity ties the powder room to the laundry, creating unison within this beautiful South-East Melbourne home. With brushed nickel features and an arched mirror, Jeyda has left us swooning over this timeless and luxurious bathroom
Cor DomiOpting for classic in frame cabinets in British racing green, with antique brass ironmongery, elevates this utility room and makes the space feel more substantial than your typical utility room.
Studio 212 ltdDesigned by Studio212 Ltd, this utility room proves that functional spaces can also be elegant. Floor-to-ceiling cabinetry provides generous storage, keeping laundry and household essentials discreetly hidden away. The layout includes integrated washer and dryer, concealed cupboards, and a dedicated sink area by the window.
Large windows bring in natural light and connect the space to the garden and BBQ terrace beyond, ensuring even daily tasks are carried out in a bright and uplifting environment. Neutral cabinetry, pale timber flooring, and minimal detailing create a streamlined aesthetic that blends seamlessly with the rest of the home’s interiors.
This design demonstrates how careful planning turns a utility into more than a service room — it becomes an extension of the home’s comfort and efficiency.

The interwar property was transformed into a long-term family home that celebrates lifestyle and connection to the owners’ much-loved garden. Prioritising quality over quantity, the crafted extension adds just 25sqm of meticulously considered space to our clients’ home, honouring Dieter Rams’ enduring philosophy of “less, but better”.
We reprogrammed the original floorplan to marry each room with its best functional match – allowing an enhanced flow of the home, while liberating budget for the extension’s shared spaces. Though modestly proportioned, the new communal areas are smoothly functional, rich in materiality, and tailored to our clients’ passions. Shielding the house’s rear from harsh western sun, a covered deck creates a protected threshold space to encourage outdoor play and interaction with the garden.
This charming home is big on the little things; creating considered spaces that have a positive effect on daily life.
