Closet Organizing SystemsThis mudroom is finished in grey melamine with shaker raised panel door fronts and butcher block counter tops. Bead board backing was used on the wall where coats hang to protect the wall and providing a more built-in look.
Bench seating is flanked with large storage drawers and both open and closed upper cabinetry. Above the washer and dryer there is ample space for sorting and folding clothes along with a hanging rod above the sink for drying out hanging items.

Smith & Vansant Architects PCMoving the washer/dryer out of the kitchen into their own space was not a difficult decision. Meeting all of the programmatic requirements of this new room was a little trickier. Designing enough room to be able to wash the dogs and water houseplants, as well as folding laundry in a small space was solved by providing a removable countertop. When the counter is needed, the two pieces easily slide in place and they are pulled out of the way when the water is needed. When the dogs get a shower, the handspray works best, but for the plants the swing-arm potfiller serves optimally. The client had been saving these 19th century English transferware tiles for just such a project. The mahogany countertop, antique drying rack, windows and built-ins, and exquisite tile work make this a stunning room to do your laundry.

The Hidden TouchThis is a hidden cat feeding and liter box area in the cabinetry of the laundry room. This is an excellent way to contain the smell and mess of a cat.
Meadowlark Design+BuildThis "perfect-sized" laundry room is just off the mudroom and can be closed off from the rest of the house. The large window makes the space feel large and open. A custom designed wall of shelving and specialty cabinets accommodates everything necessary for day-to-day laundry needs. This functional laundry room features custome built-in cabinetry with raised washer and dryer, a drop in utility sink and a large folding table.
Design First BuildersWhat stands out most in this space is the gray hexagon floor! With white accents tieing in the rest of the home; the floor creates an excitement all it's own. The adjacent hall works as a custom built boot bench mudroom w/ shiplap backing & a wood stained top.

Der Heizungsraum ist groß genug, um daraus auch einen Waschkeller zu machen. Aufgrund der Anordnung wie eine Küchenzeile, bietet der Waschkeller viel Arbeitsfläche. Der vertikale Wäscheständer, der an der Decke montiert ist, nimmt keinen Platz am Boden weg und wird je nach Bedarf hoch oder herunter gefahren.
Willet Construction Inc.We removed the cabinetry that was above the washer/dryer and replaced it with open shelving. the bi-fold doors were replaced with french swing doors, and the new flooring makes access to the drawers easy.
Kitchen Design ConceptsThis master bathroom was partially an old hall bath that was able to be enlarged due to a whole home addition. The homeowners needed a space to spread out and relax after a long day of working on other people's homes (yes - they do what we do!) A spacious floor plan, large tub, over-sized walk in shower, a smart commode, and customized enlarged vanity did the trick!
The cabinets are from WW Woods Shiloh inset, in their furniture collection. Maple with a Naval paint color make a bold pop of color in the space. Robern cabinets double as storage and mirrors at each vanity sink. The master closet is fully customized and outfitted with cabinetry from California Closets.
The tile is all a Calacatta Gold Marble - herringbone mosaic on the floor and a subway in the shower. Golden and brass tones in the plumbing bring warmth to the space. The vanity faucets, shower items, tub filler, and accessories are from Watermark. The commode is "smart" and from Toto.
