A classic Belfast sink is paired with Perrin & Rowe Mayan deck-mounted taps with crosstop handles in polished brass, bringing a traditional feel to this hardworking space. The cabinetry is painted in Paint & Paper Blue Blood, adding depth and richness, while an open shelf finished in Little Greene Shirting echoes the tongue-and-groove panelling on the walls for a cohesive, layered look. Oak worktops introduce warmth and tactility, softening the palette and ensuring the room feels both functional and considered.

Oak joinery houses deep drawers below a stone work surface with an inset sink. Open hanging above allows garments to be aired or pressed, supporting daily routines. Shelving at high level provides additional storage without closing the space in.
Utility and detailing are balanced to ensure the room remains calm, ordered, and highly functional.
First Sense InteriorsTraditional utility room created from a garage conversion, incorporating shaker cabinetry, tongue and groove walls, hidden stacked appliances with a pull out drying rail and drawer, hidden storage in the wall, a pulley clothes airer, Belfast sink, baskets for each family member and a chequerboard tiled floor with underfloor heating.

Full height oak cabinetry provides concealed hanging, open shelving, and integrated bench seating. Proportions were carefully resolved to accommodate coats, footwear, and baskets without visual clutter. The herringbone tiled floor introduces durability underfoot while maintaining a calm, refined finish.
A practical space, deliberately detailed to feel composed and permanent rather than utility led.
