Round Table DesignThe clients wanted a large sofa that could house the whole family. With three teenagers, we decide to go with a custom leather slate blue Tuftytime sofa. The vintage chairs and rug are from Round Top Antique Fair, as well at the cool “Scientist” painting that was from an old apothecary in Germany.
FivedotThis single family home in the Greenlake neighborhood of Seattle is a modern home with a strong emphasis on sustainability. The house includes a rainwater harvesting system that supplies the toilets and laundry with water. On-site storm water treatment, native and low maintenance plants reduce the site impact of this project. This project emphasizes the relationship between site and building by creating indoor and outdoor spaces that respond to the surrounding environment and change throughout the seasons.
Astratto DesignEmbarking on the design journey of Wabi Sabi Refuge, I immersed myself in the profound quest for tranquility and harmony. This project became a testament to the pursuit of a tranquil haven that stirs a deep sense of calm within. Guided by the essence of wabi-sabi, my intention was to curate Wabi Sabi Refuge as a sacred space that nurtures an ethereal atmosphere, summoning a sincere connection with the surrounding world. Deliberate choices of muted hues and minimalist elements foster an environment of uncluttered serenity, encouraging introspection and contemplation. Embracing the innate imperfections and distinctive qualities of the carefully selected materials and objects added an exquisite touch of organic allure, instilling an authentic reverence for the beauty inherent in nature's creations. Wabi Sabi Refuge serves as a sanctuary, an evocative invitation for visitors to embrace the sublime simplicity, find solace in the imperfect, and uncover the profound and tranquil beauty that wabi-sabi unveils.
Sarco Architects Costa Rica - CaribbeanBraheem Residence's social area is enclosed by glass windows nonetheless the architectural design considered this and protected the space from the sun with the position of the mass of the second floor bedrooms. This helps to keep energy costs down by reducing to a minimum the solar gain in these glazed areas. This living space is therefore only exposed to the morning sun coming from the east, but the topography going uphill to the east combined with dense trees that were maintained on that side of the property provide natural shading as well.
Bohannon Design TeamThe living room features a crisp, painted brick fireplace and transom windows for maximum light and view. The vaulted ceiling elevates the space, with symmetrical halls opening off to bedroom areas. Rear doors open out to the patio.
Mise en matièreDans cette petite maison de la banlieue sud de Paris, construite dans les année 60 mais reflétant un style Le Corbusier bien marqué, nos clients ont souhaité faire une rénovation de la décoration en allant un peu plus loin dans le style. Nous avons créé pour eux cette fresque moderne en gardant les lignes proposées par la bibliothèque en bois existante. Nous avons poursuivit l'oeuvre dans la cage d'escalier afin de créer un unité dans ces espaces ouverts et afin de donner faire renaitre l'ambiance "fifties" d'origine. L'oeuvre a été créé sur maquette numérique, puis une fois les couleurs définies, les tracés puis la peinture ont été réalisé par nos soins après que les murs ait été restaurés par un peintre en bâtiment.
Agence Alexandra BOUSSAGOL - ArchitectesPour séparer l'entrée du salon, nous avons érigé une cloison basse et fixé un claustra en bois graphique pour ,e pas cloisonner trop l'espace. La bibliothèque sur mesure cache la TV derrière ses panneaux coulissants. Le mélange de bois et de chêne flammé apporte une atmosphère apaisante. L'entrée est habillée d'un papier peint panoramique, un décor visible du salon en transparence. Une banquette sur mesure a été installée dans l'entrée qui fait à la fois office de rangement pour les chaussures mais aussi d'assise.
