Simply Home DecoratingThis active couple with three adult boys loves to travel and visit family throughout Western Canada. They hired us for a main floor renovation that would transform their home, making it more functional, conducive to entertaining, and reflective of their interests.
In the kitchen, we chose to keep the layout and update the cabinetry and surface finishes to revive the look. To accommodate large gatherings, we created an in-kitchen dining area, updated the living and dining room, and expanded the family room, as well.
In each of these spaces, we incorporated durable custom furnishings, architectural details, and unique accessories that reflect this well-traveled couple’s inspiring story.
Rimma Monk IDWhen we renovated this period English house, we wanted to pay homage to the historical significance and charm of the property while also updating it to meet modern needs and aesthetic preferences.
In terms of the design aesthetic, we drew inspiration from traditional English homes, incorporating warm, natural materials like wood and stone, and emphasising comfortable, inviting spaces. I also added modern touches, such as sleek lighting fixtures and accessories to create a sense of contrast and balance.
Foster Hill DesignA high-rise living room with a view of Lake Michigan! The blues of the view outside inspired the palette for inside. The new wainscoting wall is clad in a blue/grey paint which provides the backdrop for the modern and clean-lined furnishings.
