Fully functional bedroom with plenty of storage, a desk for doing homework or creating and a small shelf with a mirror to create a custom vanity area. To avoid clutter, the desk chair doubles as the vanity chair. Accessories are an eclectic mix of things I brought in mixed with the girl's own art creations, medals, including her lovely art framed and hung over her bed .Additional pillows reflect their heritage. This brand-new townhouse at Pierhouse, Brooklyn was a gorgeous space, but was crying out for some personalization to reflect our clients vivid, sophisticated and lively design aesthetic. Bold Patterns and Colors were our friends in this fun and eclectic project. Our amazing clients collaborated with us to select the fabrics for the den's custom Roche Bobois Mah Jong sofa and we also customized a vintage swedish rug from Doris Leslie Blau. for the Living Room Our biggest challenge was to capture the space under the Staircase so that it would become usable for this family. We created cubby storage, a desk area, coat closet and oversized storage. We even managed to fit in a 12' ladder - not an easy feat!

Designers NurseryI needed to design a space for Josh, a 7 year old boy. The mother wanted the space to be somewhat transitional. The colors should work well with more than one theme, and he should feel great in there when he is 7 as well as when he's 13. Josh wanted lots of photos of past events on the wall.
I was going for a clean boyish look. I stripped and refaced the cute chest in red, so I had a starting point. I was thinking that the colors work well with a lot of themes like nautical, western, cottage, sports, etc. Josh will have lots of choice in adding his personal touches to his room. Once we settled on the colors the accessories fell into place.
Curated NestEclectic / modern style room for a dinosaur-obsessed 5 year old Brooklyn boy. Maximized the compact space by using built-in storage as a multifunctional, cozy reading nook with custom high-performance upholstery (i.e., kid-friendly). Used tones of blue in wallpaper, walls, and furniture to ground the space and keep it mature as he grows up - but with vibrant, fun pops of red for now.
