Storie CollectiveBoho meets Portuguese design in a stunning transformation of this Van Ness tudor in the upper northwest neighborhood of Washington, DC. Our team’s primary objectives were to fill space with natural light, period architectural details, and cohesive selections throughout the main level and primary suite. At the entry, new archways are created to maximize light and flow throughout the main level while ensuring the space feels intimate. A new kitchen layout along with a peninsula grounds the chef’s kitchen while securing its part in the everyday living space. Well-appointed dining and living rooms infuse dimension and texture into the home, and a pop of personality in the powder room round out the main level. Strong raw wood elements, rich tones, hand-formed elements, and contemporary nods make an appearance throughout the newly renovated main level and primary suite of the home.

Julia Chasman DesignWe removed half the full wall between the Living Room and Kitchen, and built an arched opening to make the space seem like it had always been there. The opening brought in light, and allowed us to add an island, which greatly increased our storage space and functionality in the kitchen.
Evergreen Building Group, LLC.Lots of light and large open space make this kitchen a winner. The large island is great for entertaining and a fantastic workspace. Large circular pendant lights and undercabinet lighting enhance the natural light entering from the large picture windows.
YesterTec Design CompanyWorking pantries can also be created in the form of a closet as shown here. The least expensive pantries typically are closets with a plastic laminate countertop and exposed shelving hidden by full height bi-fold doors. A walk-in closet style pantry can become a working pantry as opposed to just a storage pantry simply by adding a real worktop. In a YesterTec Kitchen that has the 3 major workstations (Sink, Range and Refrigerator), a working pantry is a great addition to conceal all the small appliances and add extra work space.
The Last InchThis walnut kitchen was built in collaboration with Union Studio for a discerning couple in Mill Valley. The hand-hewened cabinetry and custom steel pulls compliment the exposed brick retained from original structure's former life as the Carnegie Library in Mill Valley.
