The layering of elements, art, and furniture creates an eclectic yet modern master suite. We centered the windows with a black feature wall that housed a fireplace. The sculpture red lounge is perfect for sitting by the fire and relaxing by the window. The ceiling feather light makes a statement.
Main Street Renovations
In our son's bedroom, we wanted to do a fun accent wall. We were shopping online for fun wallpaper and came across a graffiti wallpaper mural that he liked. Unfortunately, it was too small for the wall. I decided to buy some paint and give it a try myself. It was a fun project and ended up more personalized.

Bamboo floors' popularity has increased over the past few years as people have become more aware of the fragile state of the environment. Because it is a grass rather than a wood, it grows far more quickly than a tree. The plant's extensive root system continually grows underground and it replenishes itself naturally, as grass does.
New growth, which springs out of the ground and can mature up to 24" in 24 hours and unlike trees, bamboo will regenerate quickly, making it a renewable resource.

The original house is a system of prefabricated barn structures designed by artist / architect Adam Kalkin. To minimize the impact on the original design, the addition connects to the surface of the existing keeping the playful and intricate relationship of the overlapping structural systems and circulation. Occupants are required to enter the new spaces through original sequences and at the moment of contact between old and new, the skin is pealed back and circulation allowed to flow around the structure. There were significant Planning and Zoning requirements for this project.
