Studio DearbornA hip young family moving from Boston tackled an enormous makeover of an antique colonial revival home in downtown Larchmont. The kitchen area was quite spacious but benefitted from a small bump out for a banquette and additional windows. Navy blue island and tall cabinetry matched to Benjamin Moore’s Van Deusen blue is balanced by crisp white (Benjamin Moore’s Chantilly Lace) cabinetry on the perimeter. The mid-century inspired suspended fireplace adds warmth and style to the kitchen. A tile covered range hood blends the ventilation into the walls. Brushed brass hardware by Lewis Dolan in a contemporary T-bar shape offer clean lines in a warm metallic tone.

Haus Interior DesignThese terrific clients turned a boring 80's kitchen into a modern, Asian-inspired chef's dream kitchen, with two tone cabinetry and professional grade appliances. An over-sized island provides comfortable seating for four. Custom Half-wall bookcases divide the kitchen from the family room without impeding sight lines into the inviting space.

Aranelli DesignThese modern, handle-less kitchens are a stunning blend of crisp white finishes and warm wood accents. Its clean lines and minimalist aesthetic are accentuated by the absence of handles, giving the space a sleek, streamlined look. The white cabinetry and surfaces create a bright, airy atmosphere, while the wooden elements inject a natural warmth, striking a perfect balance between modern sophistication and homely charm. The kitchens offer not just a stylish cooking area but a seamless, contemporary living space where functionality meets design.
Larkspur Lane DesignWhen selling your home, It can be a mistake to rip out an original kitchen or bathroom if it is in good condition, has all the mod cons people expect and can showcase the potential for future adaptation or renovations. This kitchen had been previously updated in the 1970s - as in wood grain bench tops and brown wall tiles - but had great storage, and the potential for further floor space by closing off two of the four doors into the room. So instead of demolishing and starting over, extra space was created for a dishwasher and open shelving for vintage kitchenalia to be displayed, new "retro" wall tiles, a vintage double sink, tapware, new bench tops and handles were added to bring back that cheery 1950s feel, while also improving function.
Result? A kitchen that sold the house to some young mid century enthusiasts!

Stone ActionThis kitchen blends two different finishes, materials, and colors together beautifully! The sheer contrast between both stones really focuses on the artwork of the kitchen- the Calacatta Gold marble on the island.
