This home wet bar with all its charm, looks like it was taken out of the pages of an old Western novel. The center cabinet is actually vintage and purchased from a market especial for this project. The whole wet bar was designed around the center cabinet; the aged burgundy of the interior cabinet was drawn into the brick back-splash, the cabinet's charcoal exterior was the anchor colour for the rest of the cabinets and molding. Max did a perfect job matching the colour, glaze and profile, so well in fact that you couldn't spot the new from the old.

En hjemmebar er et af de ultimative tegn på overskud og understreger typisk et luksuriøst hjem, hvor der er styr på tingene. Det er de færreste, der har deres egen bar i hjemmet, hvilket kun gør den endnu mere attraktiv. Den traditionelle hjemmebar forbindes typisk med herreture og whiskey, men den tjener dog også andre forhold, og er ikke nødvendigvis kun for herrer og cigarrøg. Din hjemmebar kan være et fristed fra hverdagens trivielle problemer og bekymringer. Hvordan laver man en hjemmebar?

Det første skridt, når du skal bygge din egen hjemmebar, er at bestemme hvor den skal være, og hvor meget plads du har til den. Det er en større forpligtelse end den mere almindelige minibar, hvorfor den også kræver mere planlægning. Traditionelt set finder man typisk hjemmebaren i kælderen eller i hjørnet af enten køkkenet eller stuen. Når du har valgt placeringen og hvor meget plads din hjemmebar skal have, kan du begynde at finde inspiration til designet. Skal din bar være i de mørke traditionelle farver, der emmer af whiskey og hygge, eller skal den være lys, med glaspaneler og designerlamper.

Barstole, barborde, og barskabe - Møbler til hjemmebar

Er din bar i hjørnet af rum, kan du med fordel vælge møbler, der passer til resten af din indretning. Dermed bliver baren ikke for markant, og du kan stadig nyde resten af rummet, uden at det brydes. Som når du selv er ude, er det vigtigt med behagelige siddepladser. Kig efter nogle barstole, der passer til din stil, men glem ikke et barskab, der har plads til dine favoritter. Skal din bar have et køleskab, kan det sætte prikken over i’et med en gennemsigtig låge. På den måde kan du fremvise din samling på en lækker og indbydende måde.

Hvilket barudstyr skal jeg have?

Din hjemmebar kan have det bedste udseende, flotteste detaljer, og smarteste møbler. Men hvis ikke udstyret er i orden, bliver den alligevel et flop. Sørg for at have nok glas, og at det er de rigtige. Der findes mange typer, og hvilke du bruger vil afhænge af dine favoritdrinks. Når det er sagt, kan du med fordel have de mest almindelige glas; til vin, øl, vand, cocktails og drinks. Til den komplette bar hører også shaker, vin/champagnekøler, og blendere.
