Luxury Guest Room + Home Office | Joseph Terry Grove, York (Near York City Centre) This York residential project at Joseph Terry Grove (near York city centre) transformed an underused room into a luxury guest bedroom with an integrated home office—designed to feel calm, functional and beautifully finished. As a York interior designer, I developed a modern, high-end scheme focused on space optimisation and seamless storage. The design features bespoke fitted wardrobes and high-end bespoke cabinetry, carefully planned to keep the room clutter-free while still feeling warm and inviting for guests. A dedicated work zone was built in with an integrated office desk, supported by modern LED lighting to create practical task light for daytime working and a softer glow for evenings. To elevate the overall feel, the floor finish was selected to bring texture and luxury—herringbone flooring creates a timeless, premium foundation that instantly makes the space feel more considered. The room was finished with layered soft furnishings, luxury rugs, and high-end upholstery, giving it that turnkey, “everything has been thought through” look. Final details were elevated with luxury finishes and premium hardware, ensuring the joinery and styling feel cohesive and truly bespoke. This innovative fitted furniture solution converts a previously unused area under the staircase and transforms it into a stylish home study area with plenty of storage. Each element of the bespoke, handcrafted understairs office has been carefully considered to not only maximise space but work as efficiently as possible. Everything is in easy reach yet stored away neatly and conveniently to create a sophisticated home office area.

L’objectif de cette rénovation a été de réunir deux appartements distincts en un espace familial harmonieux. Notre avons dû redéfinir la configuration de cet ancien appartement niçois pour gagner en clarté. Aucune cloison n’a été épargnée. L’ancien salon et l’ancienne chambre parentale ont été réunis pour créer un double séjour comprenant la cuisine dinatoire et le salon. La cuisine caractérisée par l’association du chêne et du Terrazzo a été organisée autour de la table à manger en noyer. Ce double séjour a été délimité par un parquet en chêne, posé en pointe de Hongrie. Pour y ajouter une touche de caractère, nos artisans staffeurs ont réalisé un travail remarquable sur les corniches ainsi que sur les cimaises pour y incorporer des miroirs. Un peu à l’écart, l’ancien studio s’est transformé en chambre parentale comprenant un bureau dans la continuité du dressing, tous deux séparés visuellement par des tasseaux de bois. L’ancienne cuisine a été remplacée par une première chambre d’enfant, pensée autour du sport. Une seconde chambre d’enfant a été réalisée autour de l’univers des dinosaures.
