Robert Rhodes Architecture + InteriorsRipplevale Grove is our monochrome and contemporary renovation and extension of a lovely little Georgian house in central Islington.
We worked with Paris-based design architects Lia Kiladis and Christine Ilex Beinemeier to delver a clean, timeless and modern design that maximises space in a small house, converting a tiny attic into a third bedroom and still finding space for two home offices - one of which is in a plywood clad garden studio.

Die größte Herausforderung war es, den 80er Jahre Charme der Büro Räume zu elemenieren und in ein gemütliches Zu Hause für Federleicht zu verwandeln.Uns war es wichtig, nicht in einem typischen Büro zu sitzen, sondern an einem Ort, an dem die Ideen fließen können.

Stephen Ryan Design and DecorationOne of those otherwise useless half landings on the staircase or a large Victorian house is usefully functioned as a little writing/ iPad area overlooking the garden. A fun little writing table in steel and leather has a neat little chair that tucks in 'invisably' . Shimmering velvet dress curtains soften the 'niche' and chartreuse glass lamps from Porta Romana with wall coloured silk shades add a splash of colour.

R2 Studio ArchitectsThe kitchen as the heart of the house is a comfortable space not just for cooking but for everyday family life. Materials avoid bland white surfaces and create a positive haptic experience through robust materials and finishes.
A small section of the kitchen became a home office station.
