A space that evokes a combination of Mid-Century and glamour. The design space with the aim of creating a stimulating space to work. The use of shiny and golden elements was key to creating a unique and welcoming space where the client will serve her clients and also be able to relax.

The office was a long and narrow space and it was large too and so in an effort to showcase it best to the most amount of prospective buyers, we really wanted to feature how the space could be used for multiple reasons and/or functions. In order to do this we created a seating area with a sweet toy chest also acting as a coffee table. Simple, yet perfect. In addition, we worked with the home owners desks by setting them side by side creating, multiple work/homework stations. We staged up the existing shelves by adding framed art and cute little pieces of decor. Lastly, we made a huge impact on the built in shelves featuring and eclectic display incorporating both our pieces from our Design Allure Collection and the homeowners. What a turnout too!

After building the Ramp House, we decided to convert our carport into a home studio, that would enable us to work flexibly, close to home. the front and back walls are folding sliding glass doors, to give a good connection to the outside: lane life at the front, and house courtyard at the back. the side walls provide built in storage for books and files, as well as fold away desks. The home studio cannot be seen from the house, but is 2 seconds from the back door, allowing a practical connection with a feeling of distance.

A Client who had just started a new business needed an office space from which to work, Owl Design helped source, set up and design a fully functioning garden office.

Using a warm grey as a background, I turned to Ikea for the desk and work surface. A cowhide brings warmth to the space.
