Audus KitchensExplore this open-plan space of sophistication and style with a dark-coloured kitchen. For this project in Harpenden, the client wanted a cooking space to suit their family requirements but also with a chic and moody feel.
This kitchen features Nobilia's 317 Touch and 340 Lacquer Laminate in Black Supermatt for a luxurious yet understated allure. The sleek 12mm ceramic worktop complements the deep tones, providing a modern touch to the space.
A focal point is the bronze mirror backsplash, a stunning creation by Southern Counties Glass, adding depth to the space. High-end appliances from AEG, Bora, Blanco, and Quooker seamlessly blend functionality with aesthetics to elevate the kitchen's performance. These appliances add efficiency to daily cooking activities.
At the heart of this space stands a large central island for dining and entertaining, while serving as an additional workspace for meal preparation. Suspended above, gold ambient lighting casts a warm glow, adding a touch of glamour to the space. Alexander KitchensAuthentic British Kitchen in Worthing, West Sussex
A traditional kitchen with handmade cabinetry and dovetail joinery was required for this sunny seaside renovation.
The Brief
An ultra-luxurious, authentic kitchen was required for this development project undertaken by our contract department. To tie in with high ceilings and sash windows a traditional theme was sought to impress potential suitors of this wonderful property.
The property is a four-storey townhouse near to the seaside in Worthing and has been developed to an exceptional standard for a private client.
Design Elements
The developer already had an idea of the layout of the space, with a wall-to-wall run and island as the preferred configuration.
To add the authentic, traditional element to the project our handmade British kitchen option from Mereway Kitchens was required, boasting handmade cabinetry and dovetail joinery. A Diamond Grey finish has been opted for, which combines nicely with the sparkling quartz work surfaces.
Special Inclusions
To match the premium furnishings with premium functionality, a combination of Siemens cooking appliances has been utilised. Notable inclusions are a Siemens warming drawer, a combination oven and a Caple wine cabinet.
Integrated appliances have been opted for in the form of Siemens refrigerator, freezer and dishwasher.
Project Highlight
The real standout of this project is the handmade cabinetry, which matches the grandeur of this property in every way. The dovetailed oak joinery is exhibited across all drawers and cupboards in this kitchen space.
Understated door knobs and cup handles have been chosen to match the traditional style.

Thyme & Place Design LLCThis small kitchen packs a powerful punch. By replacing an oversized sliding glass door with a 24" cantilever which created additional floor space. We tucked a large Reid Shaw farm sink with a wall mounted faucet into this recess. A 7' peninsula was added for storage, work counter and informal dining. A large oversized window floods the kitchen with light. The color of the Eucalyptus painted and glazed cabinets is reflected in both the Najerine stone counter tops and the glass mosaic backsplash tile from Oceanside Glass Tile, "Devotion" series. All dishware is stored in drawers and the large to the counter cabinet houses glassware, mugs and serving platters. Tray storage is located above the refrigerator. Bottles and large spices are located to the left of the range in a pull out cabinet. Pots and pans are located in large drawers to the left of the dishwasher. Pantry storage was created in a large closet to the left of the peninsula for oversized items as well as the microwave. Additional pantry storage for food is located to the right of the refrigerator in an alcove. Cooking ventilation is provided by a pull out hood so as not to distract from the lines of the kitchen.
piquA quietly elegant and ultimately fashionable colour scheme with fresh aqua accents for this lovely modern kitchen extension in Lee. German kitchen furniture from Ballerina-Küchen coupled with Compac Moon Quartz worksurfaces and a backpainted glass splashback work well with the warm wooden floor. The addition of a peninsular kitchen island creates a sociable seating area in the space.
Inscope Management Services LtdDesign, plan, supply and install new kitchen. Works included taking the the room back to a complete shell condition. The original Edwardian structural timbers were treated for woodworm, acoustic insulation installed within the ceiling void, wall to the garden lined with thermal insulation. Radiator and position changed.
The original internal hinged door was converted to a sliding pocket door to save space and improve access.
All the original boiler pipework was exposed and interfered with the work surfaces, this has all been reconfigured and concealed to allow unhindered, clean lines around the work top area,
The room is long and narrow and the new wood plank flooring has been laid diagonally to visually widen the room.
Walls are painted in a two tone yellow which contrasts with the grey cabinetry, white worksurfaces and woodwork.
The Strada handleless cabinets are finished in matte dust grey and finished with a white quartz work surface and upstand
New celing, display and undercabinet and plinth lighting complete this bright, very functional and revived room.
Now KitchensSmall is beautiful! It's the details in this holiday apartment in Porthleven that make all the difference. The kitchen is Masterclass Sutton H-Line (handlesless) in Heritage Grey with Oak accents on the handle rail and plinth. Solid oak shelving has been stained to match the other wood details and cleverly contrasted by industrial look lighting. The huge glass splashback in Decoglaze 'Aegean' really makes this petite kitchen stand out from the crowd.
Pullman WestThis new traditional kitchen with an earth-tone palette, boasts a large island with cooktop, oven and surround seating. Whether it's family or friends, all can gather around to enjoy the cooking and dining experience. Starmark shaker-style custom cabinets, herringbone backsplash and Rosslyn Cambria quartz adorn the perimeter walls. Luxmoore & CoThis shaker style kitchen has been built in a large open plan space and benefits from lots of storage. This includes beautifully handcrafted solid cherry spice and bottle racks and drawers to keep dry goods like flour, pasta, rice, cereals, jars, tins and the likes. There is a built in bin area for regular waste and recycling. Useful large and small pan drawers to keep these items neat as well as handy drawers for larger utensils and cutlery.
The cupboards around the outside are painted in Little Greene Paint Co ‘French Grey Mid’, with the kitchen island painted in Farrow & Ball ‘Railings’. The handles are from English Foundry – Armac Martin in Birmingham and are solid brass powder coated to a satin nickel finish. Included are Neff appliances, a Villeroy & Boch double farmhouse sink and tap by Perrin & Rowe in pewter finish (brushed nickel). The stone worktop is ‘Angelo White’ by Silkstone which is an excellent copy of carrara marble but a lot more hard wearing.
This is a very exciting project, in which Luxmoore & Co are proud to work with the Developers who have turned out the rest of the barn to a superior finish also
Breathe Design StudioOur Austin studio designed this gorgeous town home to reflect a quiet, tranquil aesthetic. We chose a neutral palette to create a seamless flow between spaces and added stylish furnishings, thoughtful decor, and striking artwork to create a cohesive home. We added a beautiful blue area rug in the living area that nicely complements the blue elements in the artwork. We ensured that our clients had enough shelving space to showcase their knickknacks, curios, books, and personal collections. In the kitchen, wooden cabinetry, a beautiful cascading island, and well-planned appliances make it a warm, functional space. We made sure that the spaces blended in with each other to create a harmonious home.

Goldman and RankinGoldman and Rankin, the linear kitchen with its clean lines, simplicity and a handleless cabinet design are the key characteristics that make up the bespoke kitchen style.
Design MattersBy changing the shape of the peninsula to add seating and functional sink and dish washing areas, adding a wine refrigerator, range and secondary microwave convection oven, along with a large appliance garage, and thoughtfully planned cabinetry storage, now everything has its proper place. Increasing the storage to the ceiling via soffit enclosure, highlighting the focal wall with two colors of cabinetry, a soft gray and a bright white, and incorporating floating shelves and textured back splash, this entire kitchen space sings beautifully!
