Nosan Signature HomesThe owners goal with their homes kitchen, completed in 2017, was to emphasize the beautiful lake views and have a space that was open to a large family room and casual dining area. This contemporary kitchen combines convenience and function with hidden small appliances including a coffee station, toaster oven, microwave, to avoid cluttered countertops ensuring a clean look. The cooking area features an induction cooktop, mixer and a full quartz backsplash, as well as a hidden ventilation and lighting system in the soffit. A focal point is the large island which provides ample seating while leaving plenty of room for cooking and baking. Quartz was chosen for its beauty, durability, and ease of maintenance. The cabinetry features an integrated refrigerator, freezer, and dishwasher which complete the clean, uncluttered look. The kitchen also features two openings to the formal dining room providing easy flow and access for entertaining.

Ridgecrest DesignsThis kitchen is the perfect blend of traditional and modern. The traditional shaker cabinetry with large crown molding contrasts the ultra-modern alder wood valence above the kitchen perimeter, with matching cabinets encasing the range hood. A waterfall edge quartz island with alder cabinetry adds another element of sophistication. Elegant pendants, handmade Encore crackle glaze tile and clean-lined hardware make this kitchen a true blend of the two styles.

Neil Kelly CompanyThis home was worn out from family life and lacked the natural lighting the homeowners had desired for years. Removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room let the light pour in, and transformed the kitchen into an entertaining delight with seating/dining spaces at both ends.
The breeze colored island stone backsplash tile (Pental Surfaces) is low maintenance and long-wearing, and pairs perfectly against the stained cherry contemporary cabinetry (Decor Cabinets). Quartz countertops were installed on the surround (Caesarstone) and island (a charcoal color with a suede finish was selected for the island to cut down on glare - Siletsone by Cosentino). Chilewich woven fabric applied to the back of the island adds durability and interest to a high-traffic area. The elevated, locally sourced Madrone bar (Sustainable NW Woods) at the end of the island—under a stunning "ribbon" pendant (Elan Lighting)—is a perfect spot to sip Sauvignon.
Two Hands InteriorsA custom copper hood, hand painted terra-cotta tile backsplash, wooden beams and rich Taj Mahal quartzite counters create a sophisticated and welcoming kitchen. With double islands and plenty of prep space, this kitchen is made for a crowd.
Neil Kelly CompanyThe "Dream of the '90s" was alive in this industrial loft condo before Neil Kelly Portland Design Consultant Erika Altenhofen got her hands on it. The 1910 brick and timber building was converted to condominiums in 1996. No new roof penetrations could be made, so we were tasked with creating a new kitchen in the existing footprint. Erika's design and material selections embrace and enhance the historic architecture, bringing in a warmth that is rare in industrial spaces like these. Among her favorite elements are the beautiful black soapstone counter tops, the RH medieval chandelier, concrete apron-front sink, and Pratt & Larson tile backsplash
Brayton InteriorsMarrying their love for the mountains with their new city lifestyle, this downtown condo went from a choppy 90’s floor plan to an open and inviting mountain loft. New hardwood floors were laid throughout and plaster walls were featured to give this loft a more inviting and warm atmosphere. The floor plan was reimagined, giving the clients a full formal entry with storage, while letting the rest of the space remain open for entertaining. Custom white oak cabinetry was designed, which also features handmade hardware and a handmade ceramic backsplash.
