Tami Smight InteriorsMany clients turn the traditional living room into a conversation room, more conducive to use every day of the year, not just holidays etc. This space hits a great note with the large scale chairs filling the space, inviting guests to sit and enjoy the room.
Design IT Consulting LtdA condo was given a fresh look by a few substitutions, and the use of white, black and glass furniture pieces and green accents. The client already had the couch which they liked, and wished to retain. The glass coffee and end tables keep the space looking light and airy. The mirror strategically placed above the couch bounced light around. Painted grey shelves with pipe fittings as brackets add an industrial touch which is carried through the spaces. Green accents are carried right through the dining area and the bedroom.

This was a fun, collaborative effort with our clients. Coming from the Bay area, our clients spend a lot of time in Tahoe and therefore purchased a vacation home within close proximity to Heavenly Mountain. Their intention was to utilize the three-bedroom, three-bathroom, single-family home as a vacation rental but also as a part-time, second home for themselves. Being a vacation rental, budget was a top priority. We worked within our clients’ parameters to create a mountain modern space with the ability to sleep 10, while maintaining durability, functionality and beauty. We’re all thrilled with the result.

Making a room work with existing pieces of furniture is not always easy. In this living room the homeowner had already purchased the chairs, coffee table and sofa. The hutch was a family heirloom and had to stay. Everything else is new. Most proud of finding a rug to work in this space from Surya!

CCS ARCHITECTUREFloor two is for cooking, eating, and living, which are arranged in an axial diagonal that terminate at a free-hanging fireplace called a ‘fire-orb’. This diagonal axis is oriented toward the views of the Pacific Ocean to the west – over Cole Valley and the Sunset District. The kitchen cabinets and appliances are entirely contained within a stainless steel assemblage that extends to become the walnut dining table – with an overall length of thirty feet.
