UserThis tv room and library space is a cosy corner in this large thatched cottage. The butter soft leather sofas are teamed with an upholstered ottoman and comfortable armchair. All surrounding a log burner and brick fireplace. The curtains are in James Hare Silk fabric with Bradley Collection curtain poles. The painted cabinetry is bespoke, and contains a special area for log storage. The tv is placed on an extending bracket within the cabinetry within the recess by the fireplace for comfortable viewing. The oak flooring is covered by a traditional rug for a cosy feel. The cushions are covered in Emily Bond country motif fabrics of foxes and hares.
Meadowbank DesignsThe directive for this living room was for it to have an immediate welcoming effect into the heart of the apartment. Not only did the clients want visitors to be drawn into the spectacular view of the city and the Delaware river, but they really wanted it to say “fun people live here.” The centerpiece of the room is the mixed media painting above the sofa by Alexys Henry. The whimsical animal-leg stools are by Oly Studio, and the His-and-Hers wing chairs are from Bruschwig & Fils as well as the vibrant modern floral print fabric. The rug is from Beatrice & Martin and does a great job disguising dog hair from the client’s two resident Boston terriers.

Cathie Hong InteriorsThis young married couple enlisted our help to update their recently purchased condo into a brighter, open space that reflected their taste. They traveled to Copenhagen at the onset of their trip, and that trip largely influenced the design direction of their home, from the herringbone floors to the Copenhagen-based kitchen cabinetry. We blended their love of European interiors with their Asian heritage and created a soft, minimalist, cozy interior with an emphasis on clean lines and muted palettes.

Studio MortonWe demolished and re-built the interior of this Victorian apartment in Hampstead for a delightful couple. The kitchen and bathroom were relocated and walls were opened up to flood the apartment with light. Geometric patterns were used throughout with a dark grey feature wall in the living room adding drama. The bespoke, shaker-style kitchen that we designed was painted a complimentary light grey.

Simply Home DecoratingThis tiny home is located on a treelined street in the Kitsilano neighborhood of Vancouver. We helped our client create a living and dining space with a beach vibe in this small front room that comfortably accommodates their growing family of four. The starting point for the decor was the client's treasured antique chaise (positioned under the large window) and the scheme grew from there. We employed a few important space saving techniques in this room... One is building seating into a corner that doubles as storage, the other is tucking a footstool, which can double as an extra seat, under the custom wood coffee table. The TV is carefully concealed in the custom millwork above the fireplace. Finally, we personalized this space by designing a family gallery wall that combines family photos and shadow boxes of treasured keepsakes.
