The kitchen is set back behind a pair of barn style, hanging/sliding doors which can close off the space when not in use.
This is a remodeled kitchen in an A-frame home. Space was very limited, but with cabinetry run to the ceiling it actually seems larger than it was. The wave textured orange glass tiles provide a bright splash of color.

This renovation was inspired by the owner's love of color, and by the 1940s vintage of the cottage--specifically, the colors of classic American dishware of that era, such as Fiesta and Jadeite. In the new space, handmade coral tile and green cabinets provide a splash of tropical color to help counteract the gray Pacific Northwest climate outside. Like an enchanting kaleidoscope or magnificent mosaic tile floor, the Tara rug marries a floral medallion pattern with vivid color and three-dimensional texture. The motifs are raised in a chunky hooked wool, while the cream background is hooked in a lower, tighter loop. In shades of orange, red and leaf green with pops of turquoise, this is a feast for the eyes. 100% wool; hand-hooked. Color: Vermillion. Imported.
The blue of the cabinets was carefully selected to tie into the blue accent of the tile's colorful design.
