Studio NigroTo be smart about where to allocate budget, we chose to utilize Ikea Pax wardrobe units, and build in a soffit above for a custom fit. We then floated custom shelves to fill in the niche near the front windows, and painted everything to match for a very custom-built appearance. Decorative door pulls complete the distinctive look.

Jordan Design-Build GroupIn the new hall bathroom, we used a marble-look hex tile on the floor; the porcelain is durable and easy to maintain and the Calacatta look provides visual continuity with the ensuite bath. Elongated white subway tile keeps the bathroom feeling light and bright and a deep soaking tub means a relaxing spa-like bath is an option when needed. An open hall cubby space is currently used as the kids’ book nook, but could easily house linens and overflow bath supplies.

Custom built-in drawers provide plenty of storage for essentials such as hats and gloves, sunscreen and insect repellent. The deep navy blue on the drawers, walls, and ceiling is both dramatic and understated. Drawers were finished with brass knobs that nod to other brass fixtures throughout the home.
