We added oak where the old wall was and staggered the remaining tile into the new flooring. (The tile continues into the powder room, replacing it would have meant replacing that floor also.)

SKP Design has completed a frame up renovation of a 1956 Spartan Imperial Mansion. We combined historic elements, modern elements and industrial touches to reimagine this vintage camper which is now the showroom for our new line of business called Ready To Roll.

You'll see a spectrum of materials, from high end Lumicor translucent door panels to curtains from Walmart. We invested in commercial LVT wood plank flooring which needs to perform and last 20+ years but saved on decor items that we might want to change in a few years. Other materials include a corrugated galvanized ceiling, stained wall paneling, and a contemporary spacious IKEA kitchen. Vintage finds include an orange chenille bedspread from the Netherlands, an antique typewriter cart from Katydid's in South Haven, a 1950's Westinghouse refrigerator and the original Spartan serial number tag displayed on the wall inside.

Full gut renovation of this kitchen in Brooklyn. Check out the before and afters here! https://mmonroedesigninspiration.wordpress.com/2016/04/12/mid-century-inspired-kitchen-renovation-before-after/

Remember when kitchens were fun? Mid-century homes were full of bright rich colors. Americans were looking to create more function kitchen spaces. This newly renovated Mid-century kitchen hits all the right notes for a small kitchen lots of storage, cool lighting, work space and dynamic tiles for the backsplash. Three colors were choosen from our historic Mid-century tile line; Yellow, Jade and Light Green.

This project required quite a bit of destruction before we could begin to create this wonderfull family friendly layout. Once walls were removed, we were able to create an abundance of storage in a relatively small kitchen. This kitchen features Candlelight Cabinetry. The full overlay Elite Square raised panel door style lends itself to the overal transitional style of this home. The English Linen paint finish paired with the Merlot stain on the cherry island create a warm and inviting space. The stainless steel appliances, Cambria quartz countertops and warm red oak flooring pull this kitchen together nicely. Lauren Nelson

In this case the size did not really matter. Carefully crafted layout creating different work zones makes this modestly sized kitchen the iron chef worthy. Even though the kitchen footprint is compact expansive countertop makes this space functional.

It is all in the details! I worked hard with Heidi Fusik Interiors and the homeowner to make the most of this small space. Behind these beautiful 3 ply bamboo doors there is a space for everything including trash and recycling, spices, cutting boards and sheet pans, pots, pans, plates and even the cat food!
The simplicity and clean lines of this kitchen make this small space feel spacious and the subtle details make it feel rich!
