Nichée dans un parc naturel protégé à Hyères, cette villa minimaliste en pierre, conçue par Daimon Design, s'intègre harmonieusement dans le paysage méditerranéen intact. Daimon Design est un studio italien d'architectes et d'ingénieurs, reconnu pour ses travaux dans les Alpes-Maritimes, le Var et à travers toute l'Italie. Ils se spécialisent dans l'architecture bioclimatique et haut de gamme, cherchant toujours à valoriser les contextes naturels et culturels de leurs projets. Cette villa représente une rénovation et une extension complètes d'une structure en pierre existante, aboutissant à une résidence qui combine l'élégance moderne et la beauté naturelle. Avec plus de 1200 mètres carrés d'espace de vie, le design met l'accent sur la lumière, créant des zones ombragées et ensoleillées pour maximiser le confort tout au long des saisons. L'architecture de la villa, inspirée par les styles des villas méditerranéennes et californiennes, incorpore des toits plats et des éléments minimalistes, garantissant une intégration fluide avec son environnement. La villa offre un accès direct à la mer, complété par des piscines luxueuses qui renforcent l'ambiance relaxante. L'utilisation de chaux blanche et de calcaire local fournit une palette de couleurs harmonieuse qui correspond à l'environnement naturel. Malgré son design ouvert et transparent, la villa atteint une excellente efficacité énergétique, utilisant des murs en briques Poroton de 40 cm d'épaisseur, une isolation thermique supplémentaire et des fenêtres à triple vitrage. Cette construction réfléchie en fait une candidate pour la certification CasaClima. L'eau est un élément central, avec la mer et les piscines contribuant à l'atmosphère accueillante. Les espaces extérieurs de la villa sont conçus pour être protégés des vents dominants, captant la chaleur du soleil tout en offrant un environnement confortable et bioclimatique. Ce projet démontre la capacité à créer des espaces luxueux et respectueux de l'environnement, qui respectent et valorisent leur cadre naturel.

Hamptons style coastal home with custom garage door, weatherboard cladding and stone detailing.

Seahorses is a stunning new home near Falmouth enjoying magnificent panoramic views of the south coast seascape. Sitting on the clifftops within an AONB, the house and gardens occupy a gently sloping site that connects with the adjacent South West Coastal Path. The context and terrain of the surrounding landscape informed the design and an imaginative and ambitious solution to site levels was crucial to the success of the scheme. As a result, the completed house is lower than the original, thus creating privacy for the occupants whilst still respecting neighbouring homes. The split-level, linear design is carefully organised around a spine wall of local granite that runs from the exterior of the building through the interior. This arrangement allows the living areas and bedrooms to connect with the landscape and integrate seamlessly with outdoor spaces. A mix of grasses, sedum and indigenous coastal plants on the green roof help to embed the building into its surroundings. The palette of natural materials creates a layered, permeable effect on the exterior, which will season with time and weather, thereby allowing it to assimilate into its coastal setting. Of equal importance was landscaping, which was integral to the design intent.
