My Bespoke RoomThis living-dining room perfectly mixes the personalities of the two homeowners. The emerald green sofa and panelling give a traditional feel while the other homeowner loves the more modern elements such as the artwork, shelving and mounted TV making the layout work so they can watch TV from the dining table or the sofa with ease.

MuralSourcesFor the Richmond Symphony Showhouse in 2018. This room was designed by David Barden Designs, photographed by Ansel Olsen. The Mural is "Bel Aire" in the "Emerald" colorway. Installed above a chair rail that was painted to match.

Scrolling up to the hero image of this blog post, you were greeted with another view of this stunning formal dining room. The wood dining table is framed by merlot velvet drapery and orange pampas grass in wicker floor vases atop an exquisitely textured area rug. This home exudes a style that truly needs to be seen to be appreciated.

Gill Wilkinson InteriorsThis dated dining room was given a complete makeover using the fireplace as our inspiration. We were delighted wanted to re-use her grandmother's dining furniture so this was french polished and the contemporary 'ghost' style chairs added as a contrast to the dark furniture. A stunning wallpaper from Surfacephilia, floor length velvet curtains with contrasting Roman blind and a stunning gold palm tree floor lamp to complement the other gold accents the room. The bespoke feather and gold chair chandelier form Cold Harbour Lights is the hero piece of this space.
Studio Black InteriorsLocated in the Canberra suburb of Old Deakin, this established home was originally built in 1951 by Keith Murdoch to house journalists of The Herald and Weekly Times Limited. With a rich history, it has been renovated to maintain its classic character and charm for the new young family that lives there.

The multi-functional spaces in the San Francisco flat have a strong feminine influence with splashes of color, pretty patterns, and a touch of bohemian flair, all expressions of the homeowner’s personality and lifestyle.

The pieces that are needed are select and spectacular, mixing incredibly special European designer items with beautifully crafted, locally designed and made pieces.
AdesignStorieColour and connection are the two elements that unify the interior of this Glasgow home. Prior to the renovation, these rooms were separate, so we chose a colour continuum that would draw the eye through the now seamless spaces.

We worked off of a cool turquoise colour palette to brighten up the living area, while we shrouded the dining room in a moody deep jewel. The cool leafy palette extends to the couch’s upholstery and to the monochrome credenza in the dining room. To make the blue-green scheme really pop, we selected warm-toned red accent lamps, dried pampas grass, and muted pink artwork.
Dominique Roberts Interiors LTDPart of the remodel was to open up the dining room, living room and entrance hall. A beautiful oval feature dining table with nickel pedestal and eight dual fabric dining chairs sit in front of the garden facing bay window. A sideboard with mirror and lamps, round side table and free standing drinks cabinet finish the space. The open plan nature of the space required the design finishes to harmonise throughout.

Maggie MeahlOur attempt at a North Shore Boston Victorian-era Dining Room. Although we do not entertain a lot, the room is very visible and was worth a complete overhaul from 1990s-era decor. We were propelled by a burst cast-iron pipe in the winter of 2021! The project is almost done now, just waiting for a 19th century sofa to be added (after its much-needed re-upholstery). Will update in early April with better photos.
Xpand Inc. | Homes of XcellenceWe brought this 17 year old formal dining room into the year 2020! We added the wainscoting and enameled it white for a fresh formal look. We also enameled the existing trim and replaced the carpet. Now this homeowner can dine with family and friends in style!
Michael Norpell's Wall To WallSimple clean lines, and an open furniture layout help celebrate this unit’s lakefront view. The large-patterned yellow carpet helps to expand the space and plays well with the changing colors of the lake. The unit’s original vintage Lightolier light chandelier was rewired and replated. This space and furniture layout accommodates a dining table that expands to seat sixteen. Whimsical wallpaper reflects the client’s love of birds and works well with the lake views.
