Imperfect InteriorsWe designed a built in banquette bench seat in the kitchen diner of our Herne Hill project, had it upholstered in a faux leather and added lots of scatter cushions as well as bamboo blinds for cosiness
Absolute Project ManagementStrip lighting was fitted into the ceiling joists on either side of the room to add light and warmth. The stunning bespoke oak handrail was coated in the same grey-tone stain as the wood flooring, as was the desk and alcove shelving, creating a cohesiveness in the space. UserWe first fell in love with Kyal and Kara when they appeared on The Block and have loved following their progress. Now we watch them undertake their first knock-down rebuild with the fabulous Blue Lagoon beachside family home. With their living, dining and kitchen space, Kyal and Kara have created a true heart of the home. Not only is this a space for family and friends to hang out, it also connects to every other area in the home.
This fantastic open plan area screams both functionality and design – so what better addition than motorised curtains! The entire kitchen was designed around multi-tasking, and now with just the press of a button (or a quick “Hey Google”), you can be preparing dinner and close the curtains without taking a single step.
Name ArchitectsThe kitchen is set on a lowered plane, aligning daily life with the garden beyond. This subtle shift in level creates a layered, multi-planar layout, enhancing spatial depth and connection. Exposed timber, oak joinery and soft light ground the space, blurring boundaries between inside and out.
Oraanj Interior DesignThis project features a modern biophilic interior design that seamlessly blends natural elements with contemporary aesthetics to create a vibrant and inviting restaurant space. Key features include lush greenery, natural wood textures, and vibrant colours, complemented by sleek finishes and industrial accents. The open layout and airy ambience, combined with warm lighting and nature-inspired decor, provide a refreshing and stylish dining experience. This design emphasizes sustainability and eclectic charm, harmoniously balancing organic and modern elements to deliver a unique and captivating environment.
