The wainscoting and wood trim assists with the light infused paint palette, accentuating the rich; hand scraped walnut floors and sophisticated furnishings. Black is used as an accent throughout the foyer to accentuate the detailed moldings. Judges paneling reaches from floor to to the second floor, bringing your eye to the elegant curves of the brass chandelier.

Dynamic Garage Door
Orange County, CA - A courtyard entry gate is like a front door to a home so proper attention to its design and detailing needs to be taken into consideration.
This courtyard entry gate in a Mediterranean style was designed as part of a garage door and garden gate project we did in Corona del Mar, CA. The entry gate borrowed some of the architectural elements we used on the garage doors. For instance the bottom diamond panels which are carved by hand out of a solid piece of wood is a direct feature we used form the garage door design. The wood we opted to use was mahogany and it was graciously stained the same color as the garage doors to pull in the front curb appeal of the home together.
Though the garage door design was rather simple the focus of this home was the entry way to the courtyard gate so extra details were used such as the hand-forged scrolling girll used on the front which is backed with a functional rain glass door that can be opened for cleaning or speaking to someone without opening the entry gate. The iron work is exquisitely detailed in a turn of the century neoclassic style with gorgeous finials and scrolls that make the entry gate so elegant!
We treat entry courtyard gates like front doors because these gates are the focal point of entry to a home, the passage your guests will go through and so you want to impress with your best offering a luxurious welcoming with a world-class designed gate by Dynamic Garage Door.
Our specialty is design then formidable craftsmanship and expert installation. Let our team create a courtyard or garden gate that will make jaws drop and a coupe of neighbors turn green with envy!

Arbour House, located on the Bulimba Reach of the Brisbane River, is a study in siting and intricate articulation to yield views and landscape connections .
The long thin 13 meter wide site is located between two key public spaces, namely an established historic arbour of fig trees and a public riverfront boardwalk. The site which once formed part of the surrounding multi-residential enclave is now distinquished by a new single detached dwelling. Unlike other riverfront houses, the new dwelling is sited a respectful distance from the rivers edge, preserving an 80 year old Poincianna tree and historic public views from the boardwalk of the adjoining heritage listed dwelling.
The large setback creates a platform for a private garden under the shade of the canopy of the Poincianna tree. The level of the platform and the height of the Poincianna tree and the Arbour established the two datums for the setout of public and private spaces of the dwelling. The public riverfront living levels are adjacent to this space whilst the rear living spaces are elevated above the garage to look into the canopy of the Arbour. The private bedroom spaces of the upper level are raised to a height to afford views of the tree canopy and river yet privacy from the public river boardwalk.
The dwelling adopts a courtyard typology with two pavilions linked by a large double height stairwell and external courtyard. The form is conceptualised as an object carved from a solid volume of the allowable building area with the courtyard providing a protective volume from which to cross ventilate each of the spaces of the house and to allow the different spaces of the house connection but also discrete and subtle separation – the family home as a village. Nautilus Homes
This is a very well detailed custom home on a smaller scale, measuring only 3,000 sf under a/c. Every element of the home was designed by some of Sarasota's top architects, landscape architects and interior designers. One of the highlighted features are the true cypress timber beams that span the great room. These are not faux box beams but true timbers. Another awesome design feature is the outdoor living room boasting 20' pitched ceilings and a 37' tall chimney made of true boulders stacked over the course of 1 month.

The “Kettner” is a sprawling family home with character to spare. Craftsman detailing and charming asymmetry on the exterior are paired with a luxurious hominess inside. The formal entryway and living room lead into a spacious kitchen and circular dining area. The screened porch offers additional dining and living space. A beautiful master suite is situated at the other end of the main level. Three bedroom suites and a large playroom are located on the top floor, while the lower level includes billiards, hearths, a refreshment bar, exercise space, a sauna, and a guest bedroom.

These clients hired us to add warmth and personality to their builder home. The fell in love with the layout and main level master bedroom, but found the home lacked personality and style. They hired us, with the caveat that they knew what they didn't like, but weren't sure exactly what they wanted. They were challenged by the narrow layout for the family room. They wanted to ensure that the fireplace remained the focal point of the space, while giving them a comfortable space for TV watching. They wanted an eating area that expanded for holiday entertaining. They were also challenged by the fact that they own two large dogs who are like their children.
The entry is very important. It's the first space guests see. This one is subtly dramatic and very elegant. We added a grasscloth wallpaper on the walls and painted the tray ceiling a navy blue. The hallway to the guest room was painted a contrasting glue green. A rustic, woven rugs adds to the texture. A simple console is simply accessorized.
Our first challenge was to tackle the layout. The family room space was extremely narrow. We custom designed a sectional that defined the family room space, separating it from the kitchen and eating area. A large area rug further defined the space. The large great room lacked personality and the fireplace stone seemed to get lost. To combat this, we added white washed wood planks to the entire vaulted ceiling, adding texture and creating drama. We kept the walls a soft white to ensure the ceiling and fireplace really stand out. To help offset the ceiling, we added drama with beautiful, rustic, over-sized lighting fixtures. An expandable dining table is as comfortable for two as it is for ten. Pet-friendly fabrics and finishes were used throughout the design. Rustic accessories create a rustic, finished look.
