Hamilton Snowber ArchitectsDavid Reeve Architectural Photography; This vacation home is located within a narrow lot which extends from the street to the lake shore. Taking advantage of the lot's depth, the design consists of a main house and an accesory building to answer the programmatic needs of a family of four. The modest, yet open and connected living spaces are oriented towards the water.
Since the main house sits towards the water, a street entry sequence is created via a covered porch and pergola. A private yard is created between the buildings, sheltered from both the street and lake. A covered lakeside porch provides shaded waterfront views.
Margaret Donaldson InteriorsAn over the top room for this idea house! The room began with the fabric for the duvet cover. The fabric's pattern was abstracted and interpreted for the ceiling detail. All hues of turquoise were used and pulled from the duvet fabric.
Hopkins DesignsThis room is a converted attic space. The platform holds two full size mattresses. Behind the bed is a ledge. The fronts of the ledge are hinged to use as storage and also to access the plugs on the wall.
Beckwith InteriorsDesigned for a young girl, this funky yellow and plum purple bedroom design is fresh and will last her for many years. The custom headboard, window cornices, and pillows as well as the ghost chair are a few of the details that pull the whole design together.
