This outdoor living space in Barrington Hills, IL has it all. The swimming pool measures 1,520 square feet, and is 3'6" to 10'0" deep. The hot tub measures 7'0" x 13'0" and is equipped with 16 hydrotherapy heads. Both pool and spa have colored LED lights. The spa has an automatic cover with stone lid system. Adjacent to the hot tub is a sunken bar with kitchen and grill, covered with a thatch palapa. The sunken bar doubles as a serving area for the 5 underwater bar stools within the pool. There is a sunshelf in the shallow area of the pool measuring 125 square feet that has 5 LED lit bubbler water features. There are two sets of shallow end steps attached to the sunshelf. The custom slide is constructed on a stacked stone structure which provides a large stone step system for entry. The pool and hot tub coping is Valders Wisconsin Limestone in Buff color, Sandblast finish with a modified squared edge. The pool has an in-floor automatic cleaning system. The interior surface is French Gray exposed aggregate finish. The pool is also equipped with Volleyball and Basketball systems.
Landscape Images Ltdthe bamboo is a clumping variety called Bambusa eutuldoides viridi-vittata , Asian lemon bamboo. This variety is a clumper and you do not need to contain it, however, do allow an 8'by 10' area for its ultimate growth. Bamboo does require constant maintenance and you will need to do some research for the specific variety you choose. Harveys on BeverlyInterior designers are calling too. When designing a home for Poppy and Cara Delevingne, Beverly Hills architect Nicolò Bini wanted to create a tropical feel by blurring the lines between indoor and outdoor, a role rattan was born to play. “Poppy wanted something very Hollywood Regency, a California dream home—light, airy, fun,” says Bini. “So I thought that rattan would be the perfect match for her.” Bini, a longtime fan and friend of Schwartz’s, had never before taken a client to Harvey’s warehouse. But when he brought Poppy at the end of a long day of touring furniture shops, “she just absolutely flipped out,” he says. The pieces she ended up buying not only found their way into a central part of the home, but onto the cover of AD last September.

Kanga ConstructionThe original orchid house and gardening shed was destroyed by Hurricane Irma in 2017. We re-built this structure in the same location on the property and added a few upgrades to the old structure. Not only does it now meet 180+ hurricane wind codes it also has a skylight beaming natural light into the storage shed area. We also installed a v-crimp metal roof. We custom made some Sapele Mahogany lattice for hanging orchids and a outdoor ceiling fan for hot summer days. The wood siding was made in a board and batten design and is made from Red Grandis, a Eucalyptus that is a sustainable product and perfect for outdoors. We finished the siding with an exterior grey stain with the intention for the structure to blend in with the surrounding landscaping.
