A complete remodel of a 70s-era home re-imagines its original post-modern architecture. The new design emphasizes details such as a phoenix motif (significant to the family) that appears on a fountain as well as at the living room fireplace surround, both designed by the firm. Mahogany paneling, stone and walnut flooring, elaborate ceiling treatments, steel picture windows that frame panoramic views, and carved limestone window surrounds contribute new texture and character.
Wine Cellars by Coastal
This home wine cellar Boston was crafted from mahogany, with a Chappo stain and clear top coat finish. It provides storage and display for 1770 bottles, including 750 ml., through the use of high reveal display rows, wood case storage, bulk bin storage and label forward horizontal displays.
The wine cooling evaporator was mounted horizontally in the racks. We concealed it in a louvered grill cover to make it look like it is part of the racking.

IWA Wine Accessories
This small but impressive wine cellar uses Sapele Mahogany with a clear stain to show off the beautiful quality of the wood wine racks, which hold up to 390 wine bottles.
LED lighting illuminates the showcase label forward row, and castle inspired windows tease the wine room interior from an outer hallway lined in rustic stone.

Our clients wanted a refined and sophisticated design concept with a cool and light feel so our aesthetic reflected just that. Using a monochromatic color palette of whites, greys and champagne tones, we created a formal and timeless house that matched the grand and classically inspired architecture. Meticulous attention to detail created a finished home that exudes beauty, formality and in essence, simplicity for our clients to enjoy for generations.
