Angela Todd Studios | Portland, ORWe collaborated with T.H.E. Remodel Group to define a space plan that opened up the existing hall bathroom and entered the neighboring bedroom. This space allowed us to double the size of the shower and added needed closet storage, two vanity sinks, custom cabinetry with storage and radiant heating. The client was fond of contemporary yet classic design, and we settled on classic Carrera marble for the countertops, with chrome accents. To give the bathroom a bit of contemporary punch we selected an unexpected Sombera yellow for the walls. To coordinate with the vanity, we chose for the master shower a gorgeous easy-care porcelain tile reminiscent of Carrera marble. This new generation tile is almost impossible to detect porcelain versus natural stone, but allows the homeowners to enjoy zero maintenance and easy clean up.

KraftMaster Renovations"No one puts Baby in the corner." Try a lazy susan instead, the space is never wasted. They are a great option to utilizing an awkward space. A rotating base allows for ease of access.

The Brief
Designer Aron was tasked with creating the most of a wrap-around space in this Brighton property. For the project an on-trend theme was required, with traditional elements to suit the required style of the kitchen area.
Every inch of space was to be used to fit all kitchen amenities, with plenty of storage and new flooring to be incorporated as part of the works.
Design Elements
To match the trendy style of this property, and the Classic theme required by this client, designer Aron has condured a traditional theme of sage green and oak. The sage green finish brings subtle colour to this project, with oak accents used in the window framing, wall unit cabinetry and built-in dresser storage.
The layout is cleverly designed to fit the space, whilst including all required elements.
Selected appliances were included in the specification of this project, with a reliable Neff Slide & Hide oven, built-in microwave and dishwasher. This client’s own Smeg refrigerator is a nice design element, with an integrated washing machine also fitted behind furniture.
Another stylistic element is the vanilla noir quartz work surfaces that have been used in this space. These are manufactured by supplier Caesarstone and add a further allure to this kitchen space.
Special Inclusions
To add to the theme of the kitchen a number of feature units have been included in the design.
Above the oven area an exposed wall unit provides space for cook books, with another special inclusion the furniture that frames the window. To enhance this feature Aron has incorporated downlights into the furniture for ambient light.
Throughout these inclusions, highlights of oak add a nice warmth to the kitchen space.
Beneath the stairs in this property an enhancement to storage was also incorporated in the form of wine bottle storage and cabinetry. Classic oak flooring has been used throughout the kitchen, outdoor conservatory and hallway.
Project Highlight
The highlight of this project is the well-designed dresser cabinet that has been custom made to fit this space.
Designer Aron has included glass fronted cabinetry, drawer and cupboard storage in this area which adds important storage to this kitchen space. For ambience downlights are fitted into the cabinetry.
The End Result
The outcome of this project is a great on-trend kitchen that makes the most of every inch of space, yet remaining spacious at the same time. In this project Aron has included fantastic flooring and lighting improvements, whilst also undertaking a bathroom renovation at the property.

Boxco StudioWe designed and made the custom plywood cabinetry made for a small, light-filled kitchen remodel. Cabinet fronts are maple and birch plywood with circular cut outs. The open shelving has through tenon joinery and sliding doors.
Quarry MillThis stunning outdoor grill and dining area highlights the Quarry Mill's Ellsworth natural thin stone veneer. Ellsworth natural stone veneer is a beautifully neutral New England granite. The stone has deep rich tones with subtle natural weathering. Having been split with a hydraulic press this thin stone veneer has a rough texture. Ellsworth has predominantly grey tones with some gold and tan. The stone is castle rock style and characterized by the large rectangular pieces of stone. This style is also referred to as square-rectangular or square-rec for short. The individual pieces can range from 4″-12″ in height. The castle rock style is most commonly found on large scale exterior projects and is almost always installed with a mortar joint between the pieces of stone.

The bespoke J-Groove cabinetry keeps this kitchen sleek and smooth, with light reflecting off the slab doors to keep the room open and spacious.
Oak accents throughout the room softens the bold blue cabinetry, and grey tiles create a beautiful contrast between the two blues in the the room.
Integrated appliances ensure that the burgundy Rangemaster is always the focus of the eye, and the reclaimed gym flooring makes the room so unique.

Denise Quade DesignA bar was built in to the side of this family room to showcase the homeowner's Bourbon collection. Reclaimed wood was used to add texture to the wall and the same wood was used to create the custom shelves. A bar sink and paneled beverage center provide the functionality the room needs. The paneling on the other walls are all original to the home.
Custom Design & ConstructionThis project is a whole home remodel that is being completed in 2 phases. The first phase included this bathroom remodel. The whole home will maintain the Mid Century styling. The cabinets are stained in Alder Wood. The countertop is Ceasarstone in Pure White. The shower features Kohler Purist Fixtures in Vibrant Modern Brushed Gold finish. The flooring is Large Hexagon Tile from Dal Tile. The decorative tile is Wayfair “Illica” ceramic. The lighting is Mid-Century pendent lights. The vanity is custom made with traditional mid-century tapered legs. The next phase of the project will be added once it is completed.

This Sugar House provides our client with a bit of extra storage, a place to stack firewood and somewhere to start their vegetable seedlings; all in an attractive package. Built using reclaimed siding and windows and topped with a slate roof, this brand new building looks as though it was built 100 years ago. True traditional timber framing construction add to the structures appearance, provenance and durability.
