Smalls LandscapingOne-of-a-kind and other very rare plants are around every corner. The view from any angle offers something new and interesting. The property is a constant work in progress as planting beds and landscape installations are in constant ebb and flow.
Norman Building & DesignA look at the home's exterior with its gable roof elements. You can see that all the soffits are covered in tongue and groove cedar to provide a finished look to the exterior.
The home's garages are 'bent' to make the focus the home rather than the 4 car garage.

Destination LivingThe brief for this project was for the house to be at one with its surroundings.
Integrating harmoniously into its coastal setting a focus for the house was to open it up to allow the light and sea breeze to breathe through the building. The first floor seems almost to levitate above the landscape by minimising the visual bulk of the ground floor through the use of cantilevers and extensive glazing. The contemporary lines and low lying form echo the rolling country in which it resides.

This poses a conundrum for a designer because the space needs to function on so many different levels. On a day to day basis, it's just a place to watch television and chill When company is over though, it metamorphosis into a sophisticated and elegant gathering place.
