Betz Pools LimitedThis backyard leisure retreat is the highlight of a new retirement residence for a couple in Aurora. They pursued an outdoor living lifestyle and asked Betz to include features they could enjoy throughout the day, from morning to evening. The yard may be compact, but it is brimming with aesthetic appeal and practicality.
H2D Architecture + DesignThis family camp on Whidbey Island is designed with a main cabin and two small sleeping cabins. The main cabin is a one story with a loft and includes two bedrooms and a kitchen. The cabins are arranged in a semi circle around the open meadow.

Howells Architecture + DesignWe converted an underused back yard into a modern outdoor living space. Functions include a cedar soaking tub, outdoor shower, fire pit, and dining area. This home features two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a two-car detached garage and boasts an impressive great room, whose soaring ceilings and walls of glass welcome the outside in to make the space feel one with nature.

The use of corten is complimented by the bold treatment of black in the decking, bespoke screen and pergola.

Studio H Landscape ArchitectureSide yard modern water feature. The fountain is located off the living room window to enjoy from both the living area and kitchen. Concrete stepping pads extend over the fountain and into the artificial turf area in the rear yard. Succulents and grasses are planted throughout the yard.
