Just wondering how high the top roof ridge ended up being from ground level (say the bottom of the garage door)? I'm looking at doing something similar to 4 level split house but not sure if I'll end up being taller than what the zoning rules allow in my area.
The ridge of the main roof is about 35'-9" above the ground plane, at the garage doors. In this locality, the maximum roof height is 35'-0" above average grade. BUT, it is measured to the median of roof, i.e. the midpoint between the soffit/eave and the ridge. So, we actually had a stated height of 27'-6".
