This surface is a synthetic turf, custom color, with a 3/8" bocce pad (now standard with 5mm pad). The playability is great as long as there is no lofting. Lofting will cause a dent in the underlay, and then the only fix is to pull up the turf, fix the base surface, and then reinstall the turf.....very difficult without doing damage to the turf itself. We have had success with this surface on concrete sub base applications, especially with the bocce pad adhered to the underside of the turf layer.
