Scanel House Ideabook
One of the few craftsman we like in town
Front view; E: contrast is too dramatic but I like clean lines. Overhang by front door I would like different somehow
Gutters may be a little too dramatic
Love the grey stonework
Small but nice
What style is this. This had the detached garage too; E - this seems a little more classic than what I usually like but I like it. Not sure if I would like it as much if we opted against black windows
This possibly with black trimmed windows seems perfect. Missing a chimney or two E: I love this too, style seems great and reasonably timeless. This specific house just seems a little long/stretched. Where the little front patio starts seems like where it should end or it should expand out on the other side also
Having a room we can do this in the basement. Or one of those circular vaults.
I 50% like the house but the stone seems overwhelming
I really like the windows, the door. I also like the columns and the white accents. E: does the white trim make the black windows more timeless? I think the dark color works well here
I like the general look but don’t love the shakes or the French doors at front of house. I like the garage doors but prefer on side and I like the door. The top dormers look odd to me.
I like the door but would like it wider and heavy
I really like a lot about the general appearance about this but not shutters also don’t love the side front door near the garage
I like the stone treatment on some of the house
Seems like the most serene work space /workshop. Adjacent to a garage area. High on my list. Ms
I like a lot of windows, if in back
E Kinda cute; dislike front door - a little too farmhouse.
I like the stone work in the back yard.
I like the veranda.
I don’t necessarily want full wrap porch but I like this general look. Columns could be a little more subtle, French doors off side maybe. Es
Like the house but peak white stuff is “wieeerd” and the fake porch French in the second floor looks silly. Side porch overhang would prefer squares.
Don’t love the house. But mirror it for hillside?
Cute but prefer white to natural wood; garage in front and definitely do not want a double door and a single door.
I like that this is a little less typical of what you see all over. I don’t love the mud room door in front. It also seems like there wouldn’t be much of a second door and I’m not sure we can accommodate a more sprawling house.
i like the contrasting colors and the soffits
Ms- i continually go back to this house. It just seems very reserved and very homey. Check out the rest of the pictures. ES- I like the farmhouse/cottage look, I think it is just enough farmhouse - agree it has a nice homey feel
i like the overall look, but I think the large front porch would be a waste for us, id rather it in the back with an outdoor dining area. I don’t love the stone, maybe more gray tone
some reason i am attracted to white houses, very "Connecticut"
i like the stone chimney
i kinda like the blue, and seems pretty modest E: do not like blue, style is ok but don’t like the columns
i thought i wouldn't like garage near front door, but this seems ok; E: if it was the best option for the property, I would be ok but don’t love the doors there
i like the overhang over the garage and the door style
i like the look, but feel its very cookie cutter around here
i like the window lights E: I like a lot of this look; not so much painted brick though.
It’s that house again, don’t love the dining room in the stairwell thing. I realize the opening wall may not be appropriate here in NJ
i keep returning to this house. i really like it
i like the craftsman front door
whoa..awesome outdoor living and that pool house is amazing
