We are considering a sauna in the basement. It could be built in as part of the downstairs bathroom, or perhaps on it's own depending on the layout. It would be a 2-person sauna, maximum. For service ease, we would have a separate heating unit (i.e. we don't want to have to rip out boards or anything if the heating unit breaks down).
This is an efficient way to include a sauna in a full bathroom. Note how this room is laid out: sauna in the back (with a door that can be shut to keep out shower water) with the shower right outside. By not having a dedicated hallway, it saves space.
This photo shows a nice way to hide the element. It is also good to see that a lot of air circulation is not a requirement.
We are interested in some color on the outside of the home, perhaps a blue.
