Client Ideas: Amanda and Ellen
I'm looking at the cook top area. I like how the hood fan is just hidden in normal looking cupboards. I also like the inset for a bit of easy access storage and how the built in cupboards create that entry space without the full over the top fan hood look. I think this is my favourite way of doing this thus far in terms of being visually pleasing, practical and not too over-grand.
This is the ideal bathroom we were thinking of. understand no inset on the bath is possible and only want the one sink. we absolutely love the grain in the wood vanity Ellen - I would like a little nook in the wall to put soap n stuff. but doesn't need a wooden border. I have talked Amanda in to considering a mirror wall cabinet.
Our Art. will get measurements.... two main feature art work we have. we think there are limited places for art as well given the number of windows.... same size too.
I have my Mum's old singer table and would like it to look like this. it needs a bit of work to get there.... could be nice to have where you open the door and walk in and see it.... I found a company who restores railway sleepers that is down the highway at Yatla: https://railwaysleepers.net.au/gallery/
this is sort of the direction we are going with the bathroom..... I had thought of all light grey on both floor and walls to keep it light. but darker floor like you said Grant would be in keeping with Tudor style.... I had liked slate... but a easier material to manage.
I do t mind these rails too ? Amanda : I like how open this looks but absolutely hate the wires
I like the black rails in these, might compliment the leadlight windows and frame the stairs? I like these stairs too - open.
I don't mind these stairs as well. the rails are simple too
I also have convinced Amanda we should get a semi integrated dishwasher.... will speak to you about the Miele "September only" 10 yr warranty.... Amanda: this is an XXL dishwasher so it's higher than normal. cavity height needs to be 850mm https://m.miele.com.au/domestic/dishwashers-2510.htm?mat=11321130&name=G_7319_SCi_AutoDos
assume we will get this sort of dry rack thing....
We like this tap too and it blends nicely with the sink, but we can look at more as well to compare prices...
like this sink with the stone and light greyish colour, but not the rose gold bits..
We also liked the Abey double sink in Stone N200US. with nickel or silver whatever they are.....
This is the oven we like too... 900m Anthracite grey (the rotisserie model)
Ellen - I like the Smeg Portofino oven but in Anthracite grey (more Matt Black)..... this kitchen is nice & simple... not sure which range hood though, need to figure that out & where it is fixed into :/
hmm This is for downstairs in the garage. I started to add things, but this will be a "one day" consultation. let's not get distracted.... we have garage storage and a bike tree for now that will make do....
I could see them more with this kind of feature. Although nice you don;t have the space for this.
like this? This is more like what I was thinking, simply to the space you have. I like those stairs too, but looks like you are in a prison with ceiling to floor rails :/ but stairs yes...
Grant is this the kind of banister you were explaining?
is this similar to what we are thinking? that looks nice! being able to have more light through the stairs would open up that darker part of the house :) simpler the better for me please
or hidden behind cupboards? Ellen - that works too! whatever is functionally the best and easy to clean. I know wine racks can get dusty. so less cleaning the better too :)
closer to what Ellen had been thinking I also saw IKEA do this so I can happy to move away, don't want to follow the crowd!
Ellen what about this? not this big giant X. but definitely less slats to have to clean How serious are you about wine and proper storage? I am still figuring out how to use this app, but that looks nice! I am flexible with the wine storage. I usually get a box of 6 to 10 "on the go" bottles and 4 in "good wine" stoage, Amanda has about 4 to 6 in storage as she rarely drinks... ideally min. to store is 12. we talked about a wine fridge yesterday but don't think we are "that" serious about wine. maybe in 20 years!
would it make the room too dark stripping the paint off the window frames and staining to match the beams?
a much better colour for those beams
I think I need 2 spice racks like this person
I kind of like the idea of the wine rack being hidden away
I guess we do need somewhere good for the liquor. Ellen has far too many bottles of craft gin Ellen - If it can fit, yes please! Just did a head count - I have 16 bottles, and 7 small to medium size bottles... is that too many? that's a matter of opinion really :) I can drink them to make them fit.......
are these a thing? do they have some kind of special ventilation?
I like that this one has a higher gap. not so closed in. overall far too much white
storage thoughts
more potential organisation
I like how the arching around the stove is build into the wall instead of those cabinet ones
maybe half the size? or maybe there are other things that store in here. or maybe they just look good in the picture ??♀️
https://www.robertgordonaustralia.com/collections/basin/products/round-hand-basin-kiln-360-storm basin that we like Ellen picked this. yay Ellen! there is also a stone/plain colour that is nice in this range. not sure which size would work best....
also like this backsplash
again, more blue highlights. particularly love the tiles behind the oven and the grandeur of the kitchen
need something like this but as a spice rack. preferably next to stove
having different colour tones for the sink and bench top is nice too. I like that it's not all white. EB
