Colorful Appliances in Mostly White Kitchens
1. Channel a nautical vibe. The blue and brassy oven brings a ship’s feel to this white, wood and brass kitchen in Nantucket, Massachusetts. The 90-square-foot kitchen is part of a couple’s vacation condo, and the full space is indeed decked out with coastal-themed decor.

2. Add a splash of romance. Deep red connotes energy and, well, it can also be romantic. And who doesn’t want to experience the romance of cooking — getting deeply absorbed in a passion for pasta or the love of a good chili? Here, a red oven brings richness to an elegant white Chicago kitchen with dark countertops and inlaid wood floors.

3. Celebrate the hues of a countertop. The owners of this kitchen in Charleston, South Carolina, must have had an easy time deciding on the color for their oven — they clearly have a passion for blue. The oven’s hue picks up on the lighter blue flecks in the terrazzo countertop — the flecks are actually a blend of architectural glass and oyster shells.

4. Offer up a surprise. The orange oven and matching pendant come as a pleasant surprise in this white-and-silver kitchen in Columbus, Ohio, which features classic Shaker cabinets and white subway tile — choices you don’t often see paired with bright orange. The green Paul Frank bar stool peeking out beneath the breakfast counter offers another colorful surprise.
This kitchen also features classic choices: white cabinets, simple bar pulls, a gray-veined backsplash and two separate butcher blocks. The cheery aqua range creates a happy departure from the room’s other beautiful and understated finishes.

5. Blend in with colorful surroundings. Rather than the prevailing white palette seen in the previous kitchens, the dominant color in this London kitchen is powder blue. The darker blue of the range serves to deepen the room’s palette, an effect enhanced by the various blues of the decorative accessories.

The retro-style refrigerator in this Surrey, England, kitchen features a color that’s very close to the cabinet color, allowing the wall to carry its pinkish-lavender tone across the room (interrupted only by the stainless steel stove).
Colorful Appliances in Wood Kitchens
6. Create a focal point. You don’t have to have a white kitchen to enjoy a colorful appliance. It can work just as well in kitchens that are mostly wood. This cherry red range brings cheer to a rustic kitchen in Vancouver, British Columbia. Medium-tone wood cabinets with a slatted construction contribute to the rustic feel.

7. Add soft color for a vintage vibe. The retro mint of the range in this kitchen in Cologne, Germany, lends a pleasant timeworn feel to the space.
8. Reinforce a color palette. The bold blue range and its custom orange knobs encapsulate the color palette for this Chicago kitchen, which was inspired by the homeowners’ large collection of Persian rugs.

9. Create contrast with other elements. Here, an orange dishwasher, refrigerator and oven (just visible on the far right) offer bursts of color that contrast with the cobalt cabinets. Orange and blue are complementary colors, meaning they’re across from each other on the color wheel and therefore a dynamic combination. If you like color, choosing complementary hues guarantees your kitchen will have an energetic vibe.

10. Stand out amid gray and white. This Cheshire, England, kitchen features dark gray on the island cabinetry, but it’s the purple range that draws the eye. Without that purple, the room would have the much more commonly seen palette of gray and white.

11. Complement an accent wall (or a few). This Paris kitchen features white and wood plus several hits of turquoise: on the recessed niche above the sink, the wall on the left side of the room (behind the upper cabinets) and on the bench seat’s back cushion. The Smeg refrigerator’s pale aqua correlates nicely with the room’s more intense turquoise hues. The refrigerator also complements the print of sky and clouds on the wall to the left.

Awesome stuff!!! White kitchen countertops and cabinets is a great idea when you want a royal look. I am also planning to renovate my kitchen with shades of white and accents of gray surface. I found Iced White Quartz online and planning to call a countertop installation expert for my kitchen renovation. Houzz is a great platform for all home renovation and designing needs.
Love all the blue appliances, all the various shades and tones! The smaller blue stove in the blue and white kitchen with the speckled counter tops is probably closest to my overall taste/desire for my whole dream house! Let's live in the clouds! More of these, please!
