Dixon ProjectsBlack steel railings pop against exposed brick walls. Exposed wood beams with recessed lighting and exposed ducts create an industrial-chic living space.
Domistyle DesignA porcelain vein-cut travertine look-alike covers this formerly dark brick wall and the brass fireplace was replaced with a more contemporary gas unit. Limited space called for a narrow shelf rather than a deep hearth. Carpet was removed and replaced with hardwood.
Joe Adsett Architects Pty LtdCentral voids funnel a stream of light into the house whilst allowing cross ventilation. The voids provide visual and acoustic separation between rooms, whilst still affording a vertical connection. In order to balance the shared spaces with the need for solitary, private spaces, we were able to convince our Client to extend the brief to incorporate a series of small “interludes”.
