Sliding doors allow to have lovely view on the garden and provide easy access to it.
Open plan kitchen allow to enjoy family dinners and visitors warm welcome.
Design FocusCustom designed wenge wood cabinetry, a mosaic glass backsplash with a second glass style above the cabinetry, both underlit and uplit to enhance the appearance, made the most of this small kitchen. Green Typhoon granite provided a beautiful and unique counter work surface .

Jennifer Grey Color Specialist & Interior DesignCompleted on a small budget, this hard working kitchen refused to compromise on style. The upper and lower perimeter cabinets, sink and countertops are all from IKEA. The vintage schoolhouse pendant lights over the island were an eBay score, and the pendant over the sink is from Restoration Hardware. The BAKERY letters were made custom, and the vintage metal bar stools were an antique store find, as were many of the accessories used in this space. Oh, and in case you were wondering, that refrigerator was a DIY project compiled of nothing more than a circa 1970 fridge, beadboard, moulding, and some fencing hardware found at a local hardware store.

Please note how we, and with our customer help a few quick measurements went the extra mile & used the existing shelf heights to ensure all the Horizontal Lead Came lined up.. It was well worth the effort to not create extra clutter with horizontal lines...
This project required three different sizes, which is no problem for us... The far left panel measured - 7-5/8" x 24-1/16", the next panel to the right of the Micro-Wave measured - 5-5/8" x 24-1/16", and the panel on the far right measured - 14-7/16" x 24-5/16".

All the Glass used was Spectrum Glass BR/CLEAR Clear Baroque. We finished the panels off with Dark Antique Patina Lead Came, which was a great match to their Oil-Rubbed Bronze hardware.
Diane Stein Design for Sheffield FurnitureThis inverted box pleat valance was designed to be the finishing touch in a kitchen. Complimentary pillows were made to accent the design in the open concept adjoining family room.
Joyce Reid Troost ArchitectureLive edge wood shelf is used to define the back splash penny tiles and add some interest is the basement suite kitchen.
