Reico Kitchen & BathDesigned by Lisa Gebhart of Reico Kitchen & Bath in King of Prussia, PA, this transitional white kitchen design features kitchen cabinets from Merillat Masterpiece in the Martel door style in Maple with a Dove White finish. Kitchen countertops are quartz in the color Berwyn by Cambria.

Artisan Kitchens and BathsThis recent remodel was a full gut down to the stubs and sub floors. The biggest challenge in the space was creating a single room from 2 separate areas. The original galley kitchen and a 1980’s add-on breakfast room. The breakfast room was cold and had old mechanicals emphasizing the need for a continuous space. The existing kitchen area was small, cramped and did not fit the lifestyle of the homeowners.
The homeowners wanted a hidden pantry for large and seasonal items as well as for food storage. I planned for a portion of the garage to be transformed to a full size, walk-in, hidden pantry that catered to the needs of the family.
Three of the most important design features include the hidden pantry, “other room” storage such as the mudroom seat and window bench, as well as the eat-in counter. Other notable design elements include glass cabinets, under-cabinet lighting, a message center and built-in under the counter appliances.
The coffee system is plumbed allowing for immediate hot coffee and specialty drinks at the touch of a button.

The light, airy, open concept is inviting, with a center island to gather around and a banquet for both easy dinners and family entertaining, which overlooks the patio area outside.

Dura Supreme CabinetryThis open concept remodel is the home to new Rustic Hickory kitchen cabinets from Dura Supreme Cabinetry shown in the Morel stained finish. A bar area is tucked behind a stunning weathered bar door, opening up to reveal beautiful Classic White cabinets with open shelves for decoratively displaying a collection of dishware. The seating at the peninsula of this rustic hickory kitchen gives a graceful nod towards nature. The branches in the seat mirror the other organic elements in this design and the landscape that surround this home.
Dura Supreme Cabinetry recently introduced a new wood species to their product offerings, Rustic Hickory. Rustic Hickory wood is known for its dramatic rustic appearance and color variation as well as knots, burls, mineral streaks, and pitch pockets. The color will vary from creamy white to dark brown. Knots and character marks will be random and prevalent in all shapes and sizes.
This beautiful wood species offers versatility with rustic appeal. Rustic Hickory works well with transitional and even contemporary designs where grain texture and knots create an intriguing look. Caves KitchensAn open kitchen was a must for these homeowners, so the design featured a galley layout to maximize the amount of space in the kitchen. In order to further open up the kitchen, the designer removed the kitchen’s original soffits to make the space appear even more spacious.
The addition of counter top seating allows family and friends to be seated comfortably, and out of the way of people cooking in the kitchen. Creating an upper and lower level in the peninsula optimizes the functionality of the counter top space, so people eating at the bar stools don’t interfere with the cooking zone below.
