Over time, we realized there was no solution needed. It is perfect as it is. It is quirky and fun, just like the owners. It is a conversation piece. We added rich color and texture in an adjoining room to balance the strength of the stone hearth . Purples, blues and greens find their way throughout the home adding cheer and whimsy. Beautifully sourced artwork compliments from the high end to the hand made. Every room has a special touch to reflect the family’s love of art, color and comfort.
Polhemus Savery DaSilvaShingle Style Exterior on a custom coastal home on Cape Cod by Polhemus Savery DaSilva Architects Builders. Wychmere Rise is in a village that surrounds three small harbors. Wychmere Harbor, a commercial fishing port as well as a beloved base for recreation, is at the center. A view of the harbor—and its famous skyline of Shingle Style homes, inns, and fishermans’ shacks—is coveted.

An updated version of a nineteenth-century classic, our take has squared-off, ‘p’ arms, giving the sofa a more contemporary feel, allowing it to fit into homes of any style. Two plump, full-feather seat cushions encourage you to sink into its supportive backrest. What’s more, the sturdy base can split into two on the Large and Grande sizes making it easy to manoeuvre when space is tight. Finished with traditional studwork, the low-level arms allow for uninterrupted, lengthy lounging. Standing to attention on castor legs, Louis’s versatility makes it a hero in any home.

A sunny cheerful kitchen is everyone’s ideal, and a kitchen conservatory provides just that. It will be used at all times of the day by all members of the family for a wide range of purposes.
Folding doors open the conservatory onto the garden. This project shows how a contemporary feel can be achieved whilst adding a traditional timber and glazed extension. Brick piers and solid walls add to both design and functionality of the room.

Flavin ArchitectsThis remodel of a mid century gem is located in the town of Lincoln, MA a hot bed of modernist homes inspired by Gropius’ own house built nearby in the 1940’s. By the time the house was built, modernism had evolved from the Gropius era, to incorporate the rural vibe of Lincoln with spectacular exposed wooden beams and deep overhangs.
The design rejects the traditional New England house with its enclosing wall and inward posture. The low pitched roofs, open floor plan, and large windows openings connect the house to nature to make the most of its rural setting.

Anthro ArchitectureView from the main reception room out across the double-height dining space to the rear garden beyond. The new staircase linking to the lower ground floor level is striking in its detailing with conceal LED lighting and polished plaster walling.
