Houzz Expands Operations into Arizona
New office will accommodate the company’s growing sales and client services team

Houzz Inc., the leading platform for home remodeling and design, today announced that it has opened an office in Tempe to accommodate its growing sales and client services team. The new office, located at 80 E Rio Salado Parkway, will initially create 150 full-time jobs over the next two years.

Tempe is a vibrant business community and an exciting place to have an office. The Phoenix Metro area has a very talented labor pool with people moving here from all over the country,” said Jerry Kingkade, vice president of sales, Houzz. “We are very pleased with the talent we have hired thus far and are actively recruiting more great people to serve the needs of our professional community.”

“Arizona has become the ideal location for technology companies looking to scale their operations, and the decision by Houzz to expand into Tempe further emphasizes that,” said Governor Doug Ducey. “Modern businesses thrive here thanks to our lean regulatory environment, affordable operating costs and of course, incredible talent. We thank Houzz for choosing Arizona and look forward to supporting their growth and success!”

The expansion of Houzz’s sales and client services team to Arizona will help the company meet the demand for its Pro+ premium local marketing program for home professionals. The program helps many thousands of subscribed home professionals, from landscape contractors, architects, designers and more, to build their brands locally. In 2015, Houzz drove $3.2 billion in gross revenue to paying pros on Houzz.

“We are excited to provide a new home for Houzz in downtown Tempe," Tempe Mayor Mark Mitchell said. "We have a tech-friendly, diverse community that employees and companies love. When a company like Houzz chooses to locate in your community, you know you're moving in the right direction. We thank Houzz for investing in Tempe and for bringing new jobs to Tempe’s growing economy.”

Since it was founded as a side project in 2009 to help its founders with their home remodel, Houzz has grown organically to over 40 million monthly unique users around the world and nearly 1.5 million active home professionals who are using the platform to build their brands, collaborate on projects and connect with homeowners. For consumers, Houzz provides an end-to-end resource for designing and renovating their home where they can find inspiration, get advice from the largest home community on the web, collaborate with others involved in the process, research and hire professionals, buy products, and manage home projects from start to finish.

“Houzz is an excellent addition to Tempe’s business community and will create hundreds of new high-quality jobs for Arizonans,” said Sandra Watson, Arizona Commerce Authority President and CEO. “As an avid user of Houzz myself, I’m thrilled to welcome the company to Arizona and congratulate them on their growth!”

Houzz is actively hiring for sales and client services positions. For information on job opportunities at Houzz, visit http://www.houzz.com/jobs.
