A Mother’s Day Surprise: Ludacris Surprises Mom with a Home Makeover in Latest “My Houzz” Episode

Houzz Inc, the leading platform for home remodeling and design, today released the latest episode of “My Houzz,” an online series that follows people as they renovate the home of someone meaningful to them. In time for Mother’s Day, this episode features renowned recording artist and actor Ludacris aka Chris Bridges as he executes a secret makeover of his mother Roberta’s home in Atlanta, Georgia. The episode is available to watch now at houzz.com/myhouzz.

Roberta lives in the first house Bridges bought when he became commercially successful as the rapper Ludacris. While Roberta wanted to make the space her own, many of the rooms she had started were incomplete and reflected Bridges’ style. Working with an Atlanta-based designer from the Houzz community, Bridges and his wife Eudoxie transformed what was once Bridges’ home into Roberta’s home, using Houzz at each step of the process.

"Houzz helped me give back to my mom in the most extraordinary way. My parents introduced me to hard work and dedication and that is why I am the man I am today. This surprise is my way of thanking my Mom for all that she has done for me," said Chris “Ludacris” Bridges. “With Houzz's help I transformed my former home into a space that’s completely her own. The process was so easy -- using Houzz, I found an amazing designer in Atlanta, my wife and I shared photos and products I knew my mom would love, and the designer pulled everything together perfectly. Every child wants to do everything they can possibly do for their mom to give back an ounce of what their mother has given them, and for me this is one step closer. Happy Mother’s Day, Mom!”

In the previous episode of “My Houzz,” Mila Kunis secretly renovated the LA condominium where her parents raised her and her brother, and have been living in for more than two decades. Kristen Bell and Jenna Fischer starred in episodes launched earlier in 2017, and a new episode of “My Houzz” will appear this summer. Each episode documents a well-known public figure as they surprise a close family member that made a difference in their life with the gift of a renovation, using Houzz throughout the journey.

More information on Bridges’ inspiration and Houzz ideabooks, as well as products and materials used in the renovation, are available on Houzz at www.houzz.com/myhouzz.

“My Houzz” was shot for Houzz by Shed Media and was executive produced by Ashton Kutcher, Pam Healey, John Hesling, Bill Gaudsmith and Dan Pierson.
