ANNA CARIN DESIGN STUDIO is a multi-faceted interior design studio based in Sydney specialising in Scandinavian influenced high-end residential interiors. Originally founded in 1996 as INNE - a forerunner in introducing Scandinavian furniture to the Australian market – ACD has since developed into a fully-fledged design business, supported by a highly-passionate and creative team, offering customised service and expertise to a discerning client list. Swedish born Founder and Principal Designer Anna-Carin McNamara has a Master of Arts degree from the Royal College of Art in London and has worked as in-house designer for prominent interior house Svenskt Tenn in Stockholm and as Senior Designer with Rupert Gardner Design, also in Stockholm. She draws on local and international influences, in particular from her Swedish roots, for all of her design work and creative undertakings. ANNA CARIN design’s aim is - through passionate involvement - to provide stylish, innovative and functional solutions that will stand the test of time and give clients much pleasure and enjoyment for years to come.

We chose ACD because we needed someone that would create a clever design and make use of all available space in our terrace house. Intelligent design and rigours attention to detail coupled with high quality joinery and new elegant furnishings and fabrics all seamlessly embracing our favourite furniture, art and artefacts have created a room we love arriving home to and spending time in. Working with Anna-Carin was an absolute pleasure, fun and inspired. We love being at home and Anna-Carin helped make that happen! We recommend her whole heartedly.

We engaged ACD after seeing some of Anna Carin’s work online. We loved her style and clean asthetic and when we met with her we liked how she also brought experience and practicality to the project (important when designing a family home). She worked within our brief and budget and her and her team were always very professional and patient with us (even when we kept changing our minds). Most importantly we loved the finished product!

Anna-Carin came highly recommended to me by a friend in the Design Industry. I engaged Anna- Carin’s services during the renovating of our 5 bedroom semi in Bronte. I was extremely happy with the standard and quality of her work and it was a real pleasure to work with her. Anna-Carin’s work was always delivered on time and she has an amazing ability to see how a space can be utilised to it’s full potential. Anna-Carin transformed what was dark, drab, 1960s brick house into a light, functional and warm home that we love. She worked within our budget and was able to connect us with trades people who helped us complete her vision. I has been an absolute pleasure working with her.

Anna Carin has designed 2 projects for me with equal success. very different projects one metro one country barn. both I was very proud of. Anna Carin has amazing style and gives you great confidence in delivery.

We engaged Anna Carin to help us furnish our 4 bed, 3 living room Federation House in Haberfield. The house has a mix of traditional and modern rooms. When we moved in we had next to no furniture so the job was quite a big one. Over the last six months, Anna Carin has worked with us to turn our house into a home, including selecting and supplying furniture (sofa's, arm chairs, beds, built in wardrobes), light fittings, rugs, curtains, bedspreads: pretty much everything.. We are delighted with the results. The furniture and furnishings look great, but are also practical (which is important given we have 3 young children). They work well with both the modern and traditional elements of the house. Anna Carin is stylish and fun to work with. She makes recommendations, but also listens to feedback and adapts her design to suit. She is responsive to emails and requests for ad hoc advice and very willing to visit. She offers excellent value for money. I would definately recommend Anna Carin to anyone looking to furnish their home.

I engaged Anna Carin Design for the design and renovation of my Bronte apartment last year and could not be happier with the result. From the beginning of the project, Anna Carin took the time to understand what I wanted before presenting me with a selection of options (all which I love). Anna Carin has the ability to look at a room and to know exactly how to transform it into the most beautiful space. My home is now my sanctuary and it's all possible thanks to Anna Carin and her team. I couldn't recommend ACD highly enough.
