Alexis Parent has had a life long love affair with interior design, discovering her passion at a very early age. She is a Westport, CT native, raised in a family of modernists with an intense appreciation for contemporary and mid-century fine art. Her Cuban roots are revealed in her warm personality and affection for vibrant colors. After studying Business and Interior Design at both Syracuse University and Fairfield University, Alexis spent 10 years as a Senior Designer in Manhattan. There she catered exclusively to high-net-worth and celebrity clientele. In 2013 Alexis returned to Fairfield County and worked for the corporate division of Lillian August Design, servicing their most important private clients and developing new business opportunities with NYC's Extell Development. NBC is currently featuring Alexis as a Design Expert in fun and informative segments on NBC CT Live. Her work has been featured on HGTV with a sprawling private villa in Anguilla (as featured on “Caribbean Life”), and dabbled in Production Design for HGTV's Property Brothers. Alexis knows no bounds. She has clients around the world, including several in Anguilla, NYC, Connecticut, the Hamptons, South Florida and Paris. Her refined and professional approach to service, ensures a positive experience for all of her clients. With 20 years of intense design experience, Alexis has maintained an aesthetic that is modern, yet clean and sophisticated.

Alexis did a fantastic job turning my new house in Old Greenwich into my new home in Old Greenwich. She does an excellent job turning your basic wish list into a fabulous decorating concept and makes certain her high quality standards are met when items are delivered. Properties in Paradise is a luxury villa rental and real estate company based in Anguilla, in the Caribbean. I had the pleasure working with Alexis last spring when we wanted to update the look of some our villas. Alexis was able to help us create a clean modern look, while still preserving the Caribbean feel. Alexis was professional, knowledgeable, and flexible. It can be complicated sourcing quality materials that can withstand oceanfront homes as well as getting the items to the Caribbean. Alexis made the entire experience easy and stress free!

We moved to Fairfield, by the beach, two years ago. Alexis and her firm, Alexis (Avellanet) Parent Interiors, had been recommended to me by a friend. I sought her out to finally give my interiors the same feel that I had when I looked out at Long Island Sound. To bring the outside inside. Alexis first tackled my Master Bedroom, followed by a sitting room and outdoor deck. She's a professional, but also lots of fun to work with. She gently steered me in the "right" direction, educating me every step of the way. I feel so comfortable in the rooms she did. I will definitely engage her to spread her magic in other parts of my home next year.

I recently inherited some classic mid-century pieces from my Mother. My husband and I called upon Alexis (Avellanet) Parent Interiors to assimilate these into our Westport, CT home. I mention my husband because he and I were not in agreement on the approach we should follow. She made this a very enjoyable experience by listening to both of our visions and hit it out of the park. She is well versed in the mid-century design esthetic and treated our original classics with respect. Alexis ended up redoing two of our rooms with stunning results.
